Ideally situated on 200 acres of farmland and right next door to the picturesque Imbil State Forest charming Oakview farm house and property offers guests unlimited peace, quiet and tranquility. Put the mad rush of daily life aside and drink in the serenity at Oakview. The only sound here is the sweet tinkling of bell birds along Coonoongibber Creek. The views across to the majestic Brooloo Bluff are simply breathtaking. You cannot help but relax here at Oakview.
Built in 1945, the freshly renovated Queenslander farm house is roomy, comfortable and charming. French doors throughout open onto wide cool verandas to enjoy the cool breezes and stunning views of the property. 3 large bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 8 people ( 1 king, 1 queen, 4 single). Oakview is an ideal holiday choice for a large family, several couples, a group of friends, or a romantic getaway for two. We are happy to consider larger groups on application.
Curl up on the day bed with a good book and a nice wine or cup of coffee. Let the kids run and play in the paddocks. Show them how to cook snags and damper around the campfire. Meander through the property, along pretty Coonoongibber Creek and through the nearby bush spotting native birds, kangaroos and more. Meet the quiet cattle and horses and feed them an apple or two! Marvel at the original timber cottage and farm shed built in 1900. Explore the numerous sights and natural beauty of the Mary Valley. Take a day trip to beautiful Sunshine Coast beaches, the famous Eumundi Markets or the enchanting hinterland townships of Mapleton, Montville and Maleny.
The choice is yours to do as much or as little as you like at Oakview.
The beautiful waterways, National and Sate Parks of the Mary Valley offer endless opportunities for outdoor recreation. Including:
Fresh water fishing

HOLIDAY WITH YOUR OWN HORSE
Oakview is unique in that it is one of the few holiday rentals in South East Queensland where you can bring your own horses on holidays with you.
Two large grassy purpose built horse yards and shady paddock shelters mean your horses will be safe and comfortable during your stay at Oakview. Unlimited cool clean drinking water is available. The horse yards can readily be sectioned off into smaller yards for extra horses. Storage facilities for rugs, tack and feed are available. There is ample off road parking and turning space for horse floats. Please bring your own horse feed, feed bins and hay.
The Imbil State Forest right next door offers some of the best trail riding in SE Qld. Extensive hoop pine forests and native bushland offer riders almost endless trails to choose from. Nearby Charlie Moreland Park and Amamoor State Forest offer even further choices for great riding and are just a short float trip from Oakview.
For those less adventurous riders or for the young people in your group, Oakview offers 200 acres of gently undulating paddocks and pockets of bush to quietly explore with your horse. After a day of riding and exploring, come home and swim your horses in the babbling Coonoongibber Creek in the bottom paddock.
For your next holiday get a group of horsey friends together and come riding at Oakview. You and your horses will love it!
Guided group trail rides with quiet horses supplied can be booked nearby if you don't have your own horse.
