The Church Apartment would be a glorious cover story for any magazine travel guide. This is a beautifully furnished apartment with a huge lounge area and very helpful and welcoming hosts. Karin and Wilson have provided everything you would possibly need. Stylish fittings throughout and easily adjusted air-conditioning in every room, which provided a very welcome relief from Adelaide?s recent heat wave. I can highly recommend St Marks. It could easily be one of those poster destinations on a travel websites front page. Spacious, atmospheric and full of character, it is gems like this property that make using online sites so appealing. And a great property is little comfort without great hosts. St Marks is diagonally opposite Maurie Clayton Reserve, a 2 minute walk to the Maylands pub and a few kilometres to Morialta Conservation Park and waterfall.
A short walk will bring you to numerous restaurants, shops and pubs. A few minutes by car will take you into the business districts, universities, the Central Market and the nightlife of Adelaide.
We are happy to have a chat, or to stay private as we are guided by our guests' preferences. Those requiring total privacy and not wishing to interact with anyone will find this easy due to a separate guest entrance and the apartment having it's own locked internal and external doors.

The church is just 5 minutes from the Adelaide City centre, and The Parade, Norwood, famous for its cafe culture and diverse dining options as it is for its high street fashion, hair and beauty, gourmet food, and home-wares and home furnishings.
The church is a 3 minute walk to public transport on Magill Road where the Go Zone at Bus Stop No. 6, takes you into the city centre in 5 minutes.
You may prefer to walk to the city centre past the Wine centre and cut through the beautiful Botanical Gardens adjacent to the grounds of WOMAD. This takes approximately 25-35 minutes from the church.
We are a 15 minute drive to the Adelaide Hills Wine district and approximately a 60-70 minute drive to the southern and/or northern wine districts.
A beautiful building with very comfortable, private accommodation. Karen and Wilson were the perfect hosts. They were a step ahead of our needs and queries as we were first-time visitors to Adelaide. Both discreet and informative they were very helpful. Located near the centre this makes 'The Church Apartment' ideal accommodation for tourists, and it was so so quiet. This apartment is well-heated, has electric blankets on the very comfortable beds. Thoroughly recommend this place - although I hesitate to do so as once word gets around about how charming it is we may not be able to stay here again as I am guessing it will book ahead rapidly.
