Baleine Cottage is a South Coast gem with a classic beachfront location. There is nothing between you and the ocean except the bike track. It is perfect for the authentic beach holiday with direct access to one of the South Coast's best loved surf breaks. If it's not surfing you're looking for, you can laze away the hours getting lost in the view and listening to the waves from the light-filled living room or the ocean-facing deck.
The cottage has a Queen bed in one bedroom, a double in the second and a 'mezzanine' floor with two bunks so it is well suited to one or two families. Sleep to the sound of the ocean merely metres away.
Whale watcher's delight
As the name of the cottage suggests (Baleine is French for whale), the location is perfect for the popular pastime of watching the Southern Right Whales as they make their pilgrimage to the area. These can often be seen from the window as you sit in the warmth of the living room and they cruise by in the winter months.
Perfect for families
The cottage is well suited to a classic family beach holiday. The area surrounding the house provides a safe and secure play area for younger children and the ocean nearby a play area for older kids. The deck provides a great spot to sit in the summer months - to watch the surfers in the bay or catch the cool southerly breeze.
A one hour drive from Adelaide, you can simply arrive and have nothing to do but begin your relaxing getaway. Prior to your arrival, Baleine Cottage will be freshly cleaned; the beds will be made with crisp, fresh bed linen; coffee capsules along with a chilled bottle of white wine will be provided; and towels will be laid out for your use during the stay.

I love staying at the cottage. Such a good place to chill out, go for walks and unwind. The place is small but really cosy and I'm already planning to stay there again next year

Quirky with amazing views
Quirky little holiday cottage with amazing views. You really feel like you are on holiday here. Not 5 star accommodation but a very comfortable home away from home. Plenty of space for 4 adults with everything you need for the stay. Kitchen is well fitted out. Nice touch with fresh linen provided. Great value for money. Will definitely reurn.

Rustic Beachside Holiday
While we enjoyed our stay in a great location with lovely sunsets we found there were a few disappointing things related to quality and comfort which could be improved. There was a bar/bench but not a dining table as such, and a small doorway, difficult to get in and out of with luggage. The third bed room was very pokey, Perhaps better suited to one bunk rather than two bunks. A lack of power points made things tricky. Apart from these things our stay was great. We appreciated the comfy sofas and well equipped kitchen with coffee machine, coffee pods and white wine.
