We had booked this property ahead of time to share with the family, unfortunately, at the time the family could not get time off work, so we decided to take the house anyway - just the two of us. This place is gorgeous! So close to Horseshoe Bay and Port Elliot and all the restaurants and attractions of the fleurieu, why would anyone want to stay in a caravan park? You have the peace and quiet of this property with a huge expanse of garden and plenty of living area in the house. Great for a few families or a group of friends. The only problem being - who gets the gorgeous bedroom upstairs with the bath. Fortunately we didnt have that problem and enjoyed it immensely! The owners went above and beyond - leaving a gift of a bottle of Bird in Hand Sparkling Pinot Noir, Mahalia Coffee, Fresh Flowers and local Olive Oil. Very generous! The House was spotlessly clean and we walked to Port Elliot every day. There is not much you need to take - take Shampoo and Body Wash (we didnt) Linen is supplied, so your only need your food and you. I think this would work out just as cheap as a couple of cabins in a caravan park for 2 families (and 100% better!) I'm also very pleased it's not pet friendly as being a family with allergies to pets - we particularly look for that. We will book it again for our group of friends or for the family. Beautiful House!
