Fall in love with multi-award winning and pet-friendly Yondah Beach House - it really is the perfect beach hideaway!! Set on 300 oceanfront acres on southern Yorke Peninsula, with private sandy beaches, dramatic clifftop walks and panoramic seaviews to Kangaroo Island, this gorgeous architect-designed beach house really is the perfect place to unwind in style. You won't believe you're only 3 hours from Adelaide!
Spacious and airy, the main living areas feature 4 metre curved ceilings and 'glass wall' windows overlooking the sea. French doors open out on to three separate decks, all cleverly sheltered under the main roof canopy so you can relax outside and enjoy the ever-changing views even when it's raining.
In summertime, the living is easy. Enjoy picnics and lazy afternoons on your own golden beaches. Grab a snorkel and play with curious baby fish in one of the nursery rockpools. Create a special meal in your well-equipped kitchen, then dine outdoors and soak up sparkling sea views from the largest shaded deck. Sip drinks at sunset and enjoy a spectacular light show from the tiny deck-for-two. Then fall asleep gently, lulled by the sounds of surf and calling seabirds.
In autumn enjoy long golden days, the crisp fragrant sea air and the last of the summer flowers. If you're feeling energetic, you can hike along the cliff tops for miles, exploring secret coves and hidden sandy beaches. Or you might like to visit Yondah’s resident fur seals; in autumn and winter, they come ashore to warm up on the rocks and you can often watch whole families fishing and playing with their pups.
In winter, the light before a storm is just magical. Why not snuggle up with your beloved (who might of course be four-legged) and plenty of wine and chocolate in front of a roaring wood fire while thunderstorms lash the landscape. Or you might like to rug up and enjoy a clifftop stroll - you might spot seals rolling in the surf or a humpback or southern right whale breaching in the bay.
Spring is the best time for wildflowers. Native orchids and a myriad of other coastal plants burst into flower along the clifftops and in the mallee scrub. After good winter rains, the native grasslands become ponds teeming with tadpoles and the ground becomes a blanket of vivid green moss dotted with tiny donkey orchids and the delicate white flowers of the carnivorous sundew.
Look for kangaroos feeding in large family groups at first light and at dusk. You might also spot unusual coastal birds including the white-bellied sea eagle, osprey and gannet. In the scrub you'll find noisy flocks of babblers, honeyeaters, parrots, wrens, silvereyes and tiny pardalotes.
At night a carpet of stars spreads all the way from one horizon to the other. Watch for comets and meteorites, and experience starlight so bright you’ll cast a shadow. Without city lights nearby you’ll even see the stunning Magellanic Clouds, two of our closest neighbouring galaxies, along with the dusty spirals of our own Milky Way.

Things to do in the region...
Yondah Beach House is located on Yorke Peninsula's infamous shipwreck coast only 25 km from Marion Bay and the spectacular Innes National Park.
One of South Australia's jewels, Innes National Park has it all. truly spectacular scenery, clifftop walks, the Cape Spencer lighthouse and the historic mining village of Inneston. It is also home to more than 100 species of bird including the rare western whipbird and malleefowl. The Park's high energy coastline makes it one of Australia's great surfing drawcards.
Marion Bay is a pretty little coastal town with jetty, general store and long, wide beaches. Relax on the sand with the best fish and chips ever. Or enjoy a great lunch at the fully-licensed restaurant in the Marion Bay Tavern. Better still try one of their yummy wood-fired pizzas for dinner.
