Its a day of fun and celebration for all the family. The theme for 2006 Festival 'World On Main' to be held on Sunday 15th October. Admission Free

    Mornington Pier was first built in the 1850's allowing holiday makers from the city access via steamships, it provided safe anchorage for vessels carrying produce to the Melbourne markets. Today the pier is enjoyed by locals and tourists alike, with fishing lines being cast during all kinds of weather, the pier is perfect for a stroll to take in the views across the bay and Mornington foreshore. With picturesque Mothers Beach, named for its shallow waters, and providing picnic tables and BBQ's under shady cypress trees.

    Old Court House & Post Office Museum

    The original Court House & gaol on the corner of Main Street & The Esplanade was built in the 1860, & is a perfect example of public buildings of its time in Melbourne. Operated by local volunteers it is now a Tourist Information Centre. The Post Office Museum on the opposite corner is open Sundays and Public Holidays during summmer.
