Care with tides should be exercised and tides for this part of the coast are based on Portland NOT Port Phillip Heads or Apollo Bay. Access the beach throught the Otway National Park. Turn off the Great Ocean Road at Moonlight Head, proceed along the unsealed road for 4 km. The road forks inside the National Park - right fork takes you to Wreck Beach, left fork to Gable Lookout car park and Moonlight Head Cemetary.
