Just submitted a review thinking it was for the Eltham Motor Inn which I didn't like& which site I was in. Eltham itself is lovely.

Where the city meets the country. A quaint and earthy place with a splattering of shops and restaurants. Worth a visit just for the miniature railway and the old artists colony of Monsalvat.

Eltham is a lovely leafy suburb on the outskirts of melbourne about 40 mins from the city. the lovely thing about eltham is that you are immersed in the bush yet so close to the city providing a great dversity in lifestyle.

A very leafy suburb of Melbourne- Close to the Yarra river which is a great place for a family picnic. Check out Moselvat

Eltham is worthy of a day trip from the city just to visit Montsalvat- the mudbrick and recycled building housing a variety of artist/craftspeople. Its like a step back in time walking around the cloisters and Great Hall- impressive and awe inspiring as one man\'s dream.

A bushy suburb with some hidden treats. Good restaurants, parks where kangaroos may just hop on by. Excellent garden centres and it is near to Warrandyte which is a great, quaint day\'s outing from Melbourne and Monsalvat, the artist centre that is a pocket of French countryside buildings hidden in the suburbs of Melbourne. Worth a visit
