* If you feel like going out, take the short stroll down to the Centre of town and choose from a wonderful variety of restaurants, cafes and eating options.
For something different stroll into town & catch the historic talking tram to check out all the local sights. Hope off at Lake Weroona for a great stroll around the lake, have a picnic or buy an ice-cream from the popular Flavours Ice Creamery/cafe or let the kids run around in the secure playground that is suitable for all ages whilst you enjoy a coffee from the Golden Bean opposite the lake.

The Queen Elizabeth Oval (QEO) is only a short walk from the cottage if you wish to watch football or cricket. Or next door to that is the Bendigo Aquatic Centre which has pools to cater for all ages & abilities plus the ever popular Big Bendy waterside. A fantastic way to keep cool over summer.
Bendigo has many great cycling tracks which you can find out about at the Bendigo Tourist Information Centre. Just further up from the Aquatic Centre is the Tom Flood Velodrome, home to the famous Madison Bike Races.
At John of God Hospital & Bendigo Fay Surgery are only a few blocks from Rochley Cottage whilst a sort 5 minute drive will take you to the Bendigo Base Hospital & Anne Caudal Centre. So whether a visiting health professional or guest you are located within close proximity to all medical options.
BENDIGO SHOW GROUNDS
A short 5-10 min drive from Rochley Cottage and you will find a great market every Sunday. The market operates from about 9am to 12noon but for the best local produce get there early. Other events are often held at the grounds on weekends (music festivals, swap meets, wool show, antique car show and other events)
