The Old Store is a fabulous blend of 140 yr old character with all the modern conveniences including a second bathroom and free WiFi!

You will feel immediately relaxed and at ease in this warm and friendly house with its two superbly furnished living areas allowing you to spread out and enjoy your stay. To help you unwind there is a small yet diverse library of books, board games and even electronic entertainment if one must.

The Old Store is all about experiencing an escape from the everyday. It's got a cheeky sense of discovery etched into the walls and well worn floors. Sit back and enjoy a complimentary port whilst enjoying the great sound of the retro stereo, whether it be in front of the fire or outside on the spacious deck. The kitchen can live up to most demands for service especially those of the entertaining bent. However there is no pressure to cook with multiple pubs and the city centre restaurants within walking distance.

The Old Store on Barnard is a new and refreshing take on a piece of Bendigo's heritage offering truly unique boutique accommodation.

The Old Store on Barnard now has two bathrooms and FREE WiFi.

Built in the 1870's to service the booming gold town of Sandhurst (later to be named Bendigo) it stands just 30 metres from its closest mine. There are a multitude of quirk's and perks to find in the many rooms that make up this wonderfully spacious accommodation including the original kitchen mantle and stove, an internal skylight and even authentic Scottish packing boxes laid as flooring many years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a group getaway We are a women's dragon boat team visiting Bendigo to attend Pink Paddle Day on Lake Weeroona. The girls were thrilled when we arrived at The Old Store on Barnard. Comfortable welcoming decor, plenty of space to gather and chat and very clean. We all enjoyed the welcome pack of local cheeses and a bottle of wine. We will certainly be back next time the team is in Bendigo. Thank you Cath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spacious and convenient A group of 10 adults recently stayed at this property and it ceased to amaze us all just how spacious this property was. The property was presented extremely well and the option of breakfast supplies or a welcome pack was a pleasant surprise. The property is within a good stroll of the CBD and for sporting enthusiasts such as ourselves it was close to these facilities. I would thoroughly recommend this property for any large group or family who like to spread out. Great home in a great place!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent property We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was a breeze to oranise and Cath was very prompt with communitcation/organising! Cath was very helpful with suggestions for hairdressers etc as we were in Bendigo for a wedding. All the guests were very impressed, particularly with the thoughtful 'welcome basket' with yummy fresh local produce & bubbly! As it was so hot, all blinds were closed and air con running when we got there which was kind. Would definately recommend and very keen to stay again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent property Stayed here for a girls weekend.  Location was perfect.  There were six of us and our every need was catered for.  Makings for hot breakfast, very comfy beds, loads of recommendations for restaurants and things to do. Beautiful deck area.   Will say here again.  The only thing missing was an iPod Dock

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cath, Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful house. We had a girls weekend away and the house was outstanding - everything that a group of discerning women wanted. In the house the attention to detail was excellent, clean hi spec inclusions, plenty of local information and attention to small details such a fresh herbs in the garden. Seven of us had a ball of a weekend together and it was enhanced by this great accommodation

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dear Cath, we had a wonderful stay in the house over the long weekend. Have stayed in many houses before but this was by far the best, from the 'amazing' hamper, port, chocolates, soft towels (and plenty of them), library etc etc - fantastic. Cheers

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Took the family to Bendigo for 2 weeks and stayed at the Old Store. We had a fabulous time with great accommodation, conveniently located near the centre of town and so much to see and do in and around Bendigo. The Old Store very much exceeded our expectations with comfortable beds and good linen, large kitchen and bathroom, two living areas (allowing for time away from the kids) and a sunny back deck. However it was the little touches that really made the Old Store stand out beautiful soap in the bathroom, stunning welcome platter, port and chocolates, thermostats set on the heaters so they would ensure the house was not cold on our arrival, coffee machine and good quality TVs in both living areas. In addition, Cath was incredibly helpful in ensuring we had a great stay and in providing numerous suggestions for activities for both the kids and adults many of which we enjoyably completed. We would recommend the Old Store to friends and are already thinking about returning.
