Local history
 |
Heatherlie QuarryA local historic site - sandstone was quarried from here and used to build major buildings in Melbourne in the late 19th century. The remains of a village and railway are there. Today, this site is used annually for outdoor Shakespeare productions, as well as bushwalks and for historic interest. The Quarry can be accessed by a dirt road less than half an hour's drive north from the town of Halls Gap. |
