As you enter the property you'll be surrounded by towering Blue Gums, Stringy Barks Mcananly Homestead is a shared house set up, with the guesthouse accommodation fully self-contained and independent from the rest of the homestead. It caters for groups from 6 to 10 people.

Guests have their own bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchenette, lounge and dining areas, private verandas and garden, hooded 6 burner BBQ, gas outdoor heater, spa deck and outdoor spa.

Mcananly Homestead is set in 82 acres of natural bushland and only minutes from the historic township of Beechworth with its fantastic restaurants, cafes and shops.and Peppermints. The house sits proudly on top of the hill waiting for you to come in and make yourself at home.

If you've been looking for a place to really unwind with your friends or family but want the option of things to do, then you've found it.

Mcananly Homestead is only 30 minutes from Albury-Wodonga and Wangaratta so it's easy to have a special weekend away with a few friends or family members without driving for hours to get there.

Only 3 hours from Melbourne, Mcananly Homestead makes for a great girl's week-end away: a Winery Walkabout: a Family Reunion: or a Walking or Cycling trip with a group of your best mates.

Facilities

THE HOMESTEAD:
Mcananly Homestead has made available 4 of its bedrooms and 2 of its bathrooms. The option of single, bunk or king sized bed configurations are available. A minimum booking for 6 people is required and can sleep 8 comfortably or 10 people, if 4 people don't mind sharing the large front bedroom.
THE BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:
Bedroom 1 opens onto the northern veranda of the homestead and is the largest of all the bedrooms. It has its own en-suite with large windows overlooking a fernery.
Bedroom 2, 3 & 4 opens on to its own balcony & shares a bathroom overlooking its fernery.
The rooms can be configured to your booking requirements i.e: 1 king bed to each room (Bedroom1 will have a bunk bed at all times) or 2 single beds to each room. You let us know what you would prefer.
We have a baby bath, porta-cot, high chair & booster seat for families wanting to lessen their baggage.
Please remember to bring along your slippers!!
THE LOUNGE & DINING ROOM:
The "formal" lounge & dining room is situated at the front of the Guesthouse. It has a built in fireplace place, beautiful leather recliners & an 8 person timber dining table. The hutch is fully stocked with placemats, crockery and extra glassware, there's even colouring-in supplies for the kids!!
THE KITCHENETTE:
The small kitchenette is equipped with a full size stove/oven, bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster etc. We have stocked the cupboards with some food items for you to enjoy. Just bring along your favourite foods & you can cook to your hearts content, using either the kitchenette or the 6 burner, hooded bbq on the verandah, a full size fridge is on the verandah by the bbq.
THE SPA & SUN-ROOM:
Our spa is available for use by our guests. Please request to use the spa when you confirm your booking. The cost for the spa is: $20 for the first hour then $10 per hour thereafter.
The sun-room opens onto the spa deck & has a TV, comfy tub chairs, coffee tables & books for the kids.

Things to do & Pricing Clarification

FOOD & WINE:
The best restaurants, wineries and cafes are all within easy reach of Beechworth. The King Valley and Rutherglen food and wine districts are within 3/4 hours drive as is the famous Milawa Cheese Factory.
SHOPS:
Amazing clothing, jewellry and gift stores are at your feet.
TOURS:
The Beechworth Tourist Information Centre can organise tours of just about any description. The most popular one at the moment is the Ghost Tour at Mayday Hills.
ACTIVITIES:
Golfing at the Beechworth, Myrtleford or Bright Golf courses is very popular. Cycling along the Rail Trail is a must.
Take advantage of the Farmer's Markets that are around our Indigo Shire.

PLEASE NOTE:
A minimum 3 night stay over Easter, Queen's Birthday & Cup Weekend is required, 5 nights over the Christmas period.

The balance of accommodation will be required one week prior to your arrival.
