This spacious four bedroom 5 acre retreat a short drive to Beechworth in the hamlet of Stanley and offers luxurious accommodation for up to 10 people within easy access of a huge range of wonderful experiences of NE Victoria.

The property has been beautifully restored and is offered with a generous living/dining room with log fire and leather sofas, a fully equipped kitchen, two large bathrooms and separate WC . The living room overlooks a private garden that features a covered north facing terrace. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and luxurious linen.

The house is set within 5 acres of exhibition gardens and offers a 16m natural swimming pool, a bocci court and swings for the kids. The Stanley Pub, just 10 minutes walk, offers fine french bistro dining.

Stanley is an historic hamlet surrounded by forest and bush that is popular with cyclists and bush walkers. Ten minutes drive to Beechworth you can enjoy the sophisticated boutiques, cafes, restaurants and artisan brewery. Rich cultural heritage underpins markets and festivals in this region almost every weekend.
Within 50kms you have a huge network of interesting towns, hundreds of fine wineries and gourmet eateries, great fishing rivers, skiing, rock climbing and more than 80kms of dedicated cycle tracks.

The house is equipped with all the mod cons: TV, DVD, iPod station, Microwave, Oven, BBQ, air-conditioning, gas and log fire heating.

Planetrees Lodge provides a breakfast hamper including choice of cereals, bread, jams, butter, milk, tea, ground coffee, milk, tea, ground coffee etc. Pick you own herbs, veggies and fruit from the garden. Planetrees Lodge kitchen is well equipped for keen cooks and perfect for private catering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Genevieve has put months worth of work into creating a unique experience for guests at Planetrees. We loved relaxing on the porch while admiring the beautiful garden. The house has everything one needs - very comfortable beds and thoughtful basic food supplies like bread, milk and eggs. The old fireplace and natural swimming pond were extra special treats!I can highly recommend choosing Planetrees for your next stay in the Stanley/Beechworth area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We loved the house, very zany and obvious that Genevieve, our hostess enjoys making it very special for her guests, with every comfort you could wish for and lots of little extras included. We enjoyed a wonderful family weekend there. The local pub has a fabulous restaurant and ambience and the countryside around is just beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Planetrees lived up to the website description. It was a lovely place to relax and unwind. Genevieve has thought of everything. Lots of basic food supplies, robes (which my kids thought very luxurious). Very comfie beds and bedding. The fire place kept us very cosy. The gardens are lovely. Stanley is lovely. The Stanley pub is really something special and only a 10 minute walk fron the house. Can't wait to come back in either sping or autumn to see all the beautiful fruit trees in all their glory. Thanks Genevieve for a lovely stay.
