We had an excellent stay at Rushton with our two larger dogs. They loved their sunny back yard and we all enjoyed snoozing by the fire. Located in walking distance to everything yet still tucked away for peace and quiet, this was a love place for us to spend a romantic weekend away. Jane was an excellent host, great correspondence and recommendations to make our time more memorable. In a great location for visiting heritage towns like Beechworth (which we did, a must do!) and the Ned Kelly area, we really enjoyed our walk through history. Rushton included (actually we would love to know its heritage also!). Cant thank you enough for such a relaxed, and welcome stay for us and our four legged family, we almost didn't want to leave!0 people found this review to be helpful. 0 people found this review to not be helpful.
Rushton Cottage is large, comfortable and relaxing. We had a small reunion of old friends and there was plenty of room inside as well as a lovely garden and BBQ area for the kids to play in. The extra touches like port, chocolates and an enormous bouqet of roses just added to a great weekend getaway.0 people found this review to be helpful. 0 people found this review to not be helpful.

We enjoyed our overnight stay both on the way to Victoria and back to Canberra. The house has a quaint, olden days athmosphere, with lovely gardens, cosy bedrooms and well appointed living areas. Even though it is walking distance from the lake and town it has quiet and peaceful surroundings. The owners were welcoming with chocolate, cherry and flowers and overall very helpful and accomodating.0 people found this review to be helpful. 0 people found this review to not be helpful.
