I've been intending to write about this charming house. We were there on a 40 degree day in January and were comfortably cool with the air con on and jumping into the river every now and then. We've also stayed in the winter and had some fantastic skiing at Mt Buller mid-week. Was not a hassle to get to the mountain and of course alot cheaper than staying up there. We set the slow cooker on before leaving for the snow and had a beautiful meal and glass of red by the Koonara in the evening. WE liked that there was plenty of wood at the back door. The following morning was cold so it was easy putting on the reverse cycle heating which warmed the house comfortably. Thankyou for thinking about the little things. We had wonderful sleeps there, so quiet and comfortable. Hope there is some snow this season, if so we'll be back. Simone

we had never heard of Jamieson but will never forget it (and River Haven of course). Your home is very well facilitated. Thank you for the little touches-the parrot food left for us to feed them on the deck and also being able to pick grapefruit for breakfast . The spare gas cylinder was much appreciated too as we ran out in the middle of cooking sausages (incidentally , they were the best sausages from Alpine Meats in Mansfield). It was very hard to leave and go back to reality .Next time we wont take the pusher for our 2 year old as there was a lovely one there! Megan

River Haven is a gem. It is rare to find accommodation that caters so well for all ages. This home is a child friendly paradise. It easily catered for our family of seven in every way. A portacot and bed rail for a single bed are available if required and books, toys and games are provided for indoor fun.We spent many hours on the verandah and in the huge backyard - the perfect place for cricket, BBQs and relaxation. There is also a swing and a great billy cart which provided hours of fun for children and adults alike. The backyard runs down to the river, another perfect spot to swim, fish or watch the children swim or play in the shallows.River Haven is perfectly situated. It is a two minute walk from the hotel which has great meals for adults and children. If you are looking for a relaxing family holiday in charming and comfortable accommodation, River Haven is perfect. We will be back.
