Goughs Bay Boat Club

A local icon in the Goughs Bay area is the Boat Club and a must visit if in Goughs Bay and only 15 min drive from Mansfield. This is not so much a boat club but a great place to have drink while sitting on the huge deck, overlooking absolutely stunning view of Lake Eildon and surrounding mountains. This is a fully licenced facility with a bar that opens at 5pm in the evening and all are welcome to enjoy the bar atmosphere and the feeling of going back in time. To add to it all the bar prices are more than reasonable. Non Members are always welcome and so are children as the atmosphere is very casual and the locals very friendly.
In the right place at the right time.

Mountain Stream Fishing

Nearby is the beautiful mountain stream called the Delatite River. This river provides good trout fishing most of the year. (Closed for fishing June to September to allow fish to spawn) Many people fly fish or bait fish here and its shady banks are good locations for those in the family who would rather read a book.
