Thank you so much for letting us stay at Barrow Cottage - it was a gorgeous, warm, relaxing weekend - a haven of peace in our normal busy lives. Everything was so cosy from the doonas on the beds, the two wood burning fires, to the heater in the bathroom. I wish I could live in long weekend bliss forever. Thank you also for the gorgeous treats you left out for us - just the way to kick off the weekend. We will be back for sure...

This is one of the best resourced and stocked places I have stayed in. Come prepared for a dinner in. The kitchen is generously stocked with all manner of gadgets and equipment, including a slow combustion stove, an outdoor wood fired pizza oven and weber bbq. Just kick back and relax with a good red in front of the fire. Lovely

Had a great stay, the pictures on the site really don't do the cottage justice. Beautiful stone and woodwork throughout, amazing fireplace, and a great fenced in garden our dog could explore. The owners were extremely friendly and easy to deal with. We arrived late on a Friday night, and lights were on, the fire going, and a lovely cheese plate and bottle of wine waiting for us. Was a great experience, have already started planning our next visit

Touched My Heart!!!!!
Barrow Cottage touched my heart like no other! We've stayed at a lot of cottages but I had tears in my eyes within 3 steps. Maria had lit the fire for our arrival and the cottage was immaculate, cosy, comfortable, a slice of heaven that my other half had to drag me away from.......if they ever sell this place I want to be first in line!

Our arrival at Barrow Cottage was warm and welcoming. Maria had set the fire, and left a lovely bottle of red, some hot cross buns and to the kids delight some Easter eggs. If first impression count, you couldn't do much better. The cottage has a lovely welcome homely feel and the kitchen inspires me to cook. I loved the wood fire stove!
The kids loved the chickens and I loved the herbs and veggie garden. I can't wait to go back again and fire up the pizza oven.
Great holiday break for family and our dog.
