'Quail's Retreat' in the Shagbark Community which is very private ('the PEACEFUL side of the Smokies on the right side' but minutes from all the action), a beautiful log cabin home with a great view from the front porch rockers or bistro table. Sink into comfortable furniture while enjoying the 42' LCD TV or stone wood -burning fireplace. Free High Speed Internet as Wi-Fi. Game room with pool table, foosball and arcade game table for 2. Covered HOT TUB.

This luxury cathedral ceilinged cabin has 3 king bedrooms each with 32" smart TVs, w/DVD/VCR players at most and 2 with electric fireplaces for a romantic getaway.

Enjoy the bedroom accommodations tor check-out the queen sleeper sofa - one in front of the fireplace, one futon in the forest wrapped sunroom or the in the second-floor front bedroom. There is also a futon in the loft in addition to the queen bed. Hop in the large hot tub on the covered back deck or enjoy the pool able, arcade game table or foosball table in the game room.

The kitchen has a 21' refrigerator with great ice maker, lots of pots & pans and kitchen gadgets. It is an eat-in kitchen (seats 4) and there is seating for 10 in the large dining room. You will have granite counters in the baths - one with a premier height sink. You will want to come back again and again!
You will find both Keurig and Mr. Coffee style coffee pots, some k-cup pods in different flavors, creamer pods, sugar and sweetener packets, also some snacks to start your stay. There is a basket of beach towels for the hot tub, hand pump soap at each sink, small soap packages, paper towels. 2 new toilet paper in each bathroom, dish soap, and dishwasher pods.

The Shagbark Community has a 24/7 manned security gate with a texting system to keep guests aware of safety and helpful community information. You will find 2 common areas available to you at no cost. The meadow pavilion area by the creek has walking trail, dog park, playground, Frisby golf, tether ball, pavilion with picnic tables and a small putting green. Further along N. Clear Fork past the Community Center is the Shagbark swimming pool and large court with tennis, pickle ball, corn hole and basketball with equipment provided.

Not New...But Better!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was great for family our size. Plenty of sleeping space and was true to description. It’s not new. But the price reflects that. However it was clean,very comfortable and has a lot of things others don’t. All 9 of us enjoyed the cabin. I’ve stayed in several cabins all over the Smokey’s and this was my favorite. In fact it’s the only I’ve ever stayed with a double carport,supplied coffee,firewood and snacks. Overall a great cabin for a large group. Not new...but better!

Beautiful mountain property

Large mountain cabin in a gated community. Enjoyed our weekend family vacation here. Lots of beds and a sunroom with pool table and foosball. Hot tub was very nice. Host was very responsive to questions. Directions to home are a little confusing and they say not to use the GPS, but we compared the written directions to the GPS as we drove and that helped keep us on track. Only negative would be weather in the winter. I would not want to drive the steep mountain streets in the snow or ice.

Why they chose this property

We originally bought this as a second home to which we retired. We loved the tranquil setting, the view of the smoking valley and the fact it is close to all the shopping, restaurants, amusement parks for grandchildren and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Although we now live across the county close to a daughter and our grandchildren, we invite you to enjoy this lovely log home while vacationing in the Smokies.

What makes this property unique

The cabin handles a large group well. There are spacious rooms - many directions to spread out from the great room to the large sunroom and back deck with HOT TUB, lots of parking, a two car carport to allow for dry unloading regardless of the weather, a level wooded lot, wildflowers that delight the eye, a great valley view and large kitchen with pantry and full sized laundry.
