Welcome to the Scott Street Yellow House in Gardiner, Montana. This charming, remodeled bungalow is perfect for a couple, with or without a small child. This historic home mirrors the rich history of the Yellowstone area. Located in the heart of Gardiner, only one mile from the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park and the historic Roosevelt Arch, this cottage began as a log cabin located in the rustic mining town of Jardine. It was moved down the mountain to 'Scott's Addition' on the east side of the Yellowstone River. As the town of Gardiner began to develop, so did the Scott Street Yellow House. It was lath and plastered and renovated in the Arts and Crafts style in the late 1920s reflecting the concern for craftsmanship and artistry of the period.
Remodeled in 2004 with vintage features intact, this one-bedroom home has a modern kitchen with wood floors throughout. There is a sunny reading room, dining room and luxurious claw-footed bathtub for calm contemplation and quiet relaxation. In the summer, the Scott Street Yellow House has the added treat of an airy gazebo poised to look out over a lovingly cared-for cottage garden.
Treat yourself to a peaceful retreat. In the center of a quiet town, the cottage is within easy walking distance to grocery store, restaurants, shopping, and recreational activities such as rafting and horseback riding, as well as the wonders of Yellowstone National Park. Make this your home base as you explore the majesty of Yellowstone.
