Portzvue is situated on Barbados west coast, an area which is often referred to as fashionable, cultured and alive. The property overlooks the turquoise waters of Port St Charles Marina. It is fully furnished throughout and comprises of 3 double bedrooms all with air conditioning and each with en-suite. The lounge / dining / kitchen area has high ceiling fans, it is also open planned with a sea view balcony, which allows you to take in the spectacular views across the west coast.

All linen including bath and beach towels are provided, towels are provided. Housekeeper/Cooker available on request (additional cost).

Worst vacation

Property photos, description & reviews are not reflective of current state of condo. Multiple & ongoing issues; property is not being maintained. Very poor communication with property manager. Service staff (housekeeping, grounds & pool) sporadic. Fridge hardly adequate (ice-maker not working, missing shelves which limited storage, meat spoiled). Pool appeared to have black mold on the sides & bottom. AC only worked for 2 hours at a time; necessary to reset through the night. Locked out of unit 2 nights before leaving; property manager did not respond. Fortunately, owner responded & reset code so we could get in. A miserable experience.

Great place, but needs work to fix electrical problems.

The place is clean, spacious and the having the pool was great. There were a couple minor hiccups that were fixed right away, but two large ones that weren't fixed at all. The lighting needs to be addressed. Between burnt out bulbs and broken fixtures, there was so little light in the living room and dining room that it made the space unusable after the sun went down. We ended up pulling the table into the kitchen so we could see to eat. It was identified on our first night there, and nothing was done about it for the duration of our stay. We also were pretty frustrated by the AC in the bedrooms. You can't set a temperature, you can only push a button to turn it on for 2 hours. In theory the instructions were to push a second and third time to make it stay on longer, but we couldn't make it work. Instead we had to get up through the night to restart the unit.

3 brilliant weeks at Portzvue

We’re so happy that we chose to stay at Portzvue Villa! The villa was spacious, clean and a true home away from home. We loved the pool with loads of beach towels provided.. a bbq with a full gas bottle, plenty of outdoor seating, friendly maintenance staff and the laundry room packed with fresh bedding for whenever we needed it. The area is a safe, quiet, and only a short walk to the beach.. Chris and Sonia were always quick to reply with any questions and I truly can’t wait to return!!

Beautiful villa and good value

We had an amazing time at Portzvue, the villa is perfect as a base. Some of the equipment wasn’t 100% but we didn’t mind this as we ate out every day. I would say it was very hot in the upstairs area (kitchen/lounge) wouldn’t of enjoyed cooking an evening meal in there. The bedrooms are basic, but comfortable and the air con keeps you cool. We had a few issues with door handles jamming but the maintenance team came out to us very quickly and sort it. Pool area is really lovely. We would go back in a heartbeat, great value for money, great communication and a lovely part of the island to explore.
