Charming 'Prudence', set amongst 60 year old rhododendrons, azaleas, pine trees and extensive garden - including organic vegetables and herbs, will delight you. Enjoy the environment exclusively, including our organic vegies, depending on the season.
Filled with light, 'Prudence' has big views of the garden from every room, has lovely ambience and opens from the dining room to verandah through large sliding glass doors.
'Prudence' has two large well appointed bedrooms and great beds with fine cotton sheets, feather duvets, electric blankets, and plenty of spare warm blankets.
Relax inside in the comfortable, ornate art deco lounge room, chat around the dining table or outside enjoying a drink in one of the many private corners of the garden, designed and planted by Prudence Day in the 1950s.
Enjoy birdwatching and possum spotting at night. Ring tail possums can be seen easily in the trees at 'Prudence'. I leave you a rechargeable spotlight so you can see the night wildlife. To ensure the safety of the wildlife, we are unable to welcome dogs at 'Prudence'.
You are welcome to cook with our organic vegies and herbs on the commercial Bertazzoni stove in the new kitchen, Basic ingredients are always available so you can enjoy the well appointed kitchen if you like to cook.
We have wifi, and the usual mp3/ipod dock so you can enjoy your own music and TV and dvd player.
A weekend or a few days at 'Prudence' is just the thing for rest, total peace and a really different experience.
Our fabulous location
We are close to Govetts Leap and the lovely Braeside walk, in an extremely quiet area in Blackheath with large gardens and wide streets.
Being close to the National Park and with large trees, 'Prudence' has abundant birdlife - Wonga pigeons, crimson rosellas, kookaburras and bowerbirds live here.
We are within walking distance to both the village and Govetts Leap. Try one of Blackheaths great restaurants if you feel like eating out, or have a drink at one of our friendly hotels. Both do a good raffle on Friday night.... a great way to meet the locals
