Brae Lossie Farm Experience

Experience a genuine, yet comfortable country farm stay in our quaint cottage. It has been set up to create a feeling that you are coming up to stay at your farm for the weekend minus the big capital outlay and bank loan obligation.

We have not tried to replicate the big chain motel feeling of marble and grandeur so that you have a real farm experience and to keep our tarrifs modest and inclusive.

Brae Lossie may bring back childhood imagination and memories of growing up on the farm or a stay in the country with relatives that was safe, trouble free and relaxing.

We really try to get back to your booking requests and enquiries as soon as possible. However we ask for your patience in this matter as we live in regional NSW. Unfortunately the quality of our internet and mobile service is very unreliable. Consequently we cant always get back to you as soon as we would like and you have come to expect in our social media world. Thank you for your help in this matter and feel free to lobby the government on our behalf - we have tried. Feel free to call us on .

The water at Brae Lossie is stored in tanks and it collected from rainwater on the roof.

NSW Health’s Private Water Supply Guidelines require the following warning if private water supply is not treated by a reliable process for example filtration and chlorine dosing or UV, suitably maintained, or regularly tested.

The drinking water collected at Brae Lossie while maintained is not regularly tested or or treated. Consequently, you may prefer to use bottled water for drinking, preparing food and cleaning teeth as water quality may not meet Health Guidelines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic getaway Thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Only regret was not staying another couple of days. The isolation, lack of mobile coverage was especially great and encouraged our daughter to play outside and use her imagination. We understood what to expect there so we were more than happy with the house and it's offerings. If you are expecting 5 star you're in the wrong place however. It really did feel like we arrived at our own holiday house rather than someone else's. We'll be back for sure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from kids love it It was a cold and rainy weekend, so we were a bit unsure about our short stay. We visited Jenolan Caves on the way, when we arrived, the fire was setup already, warm and inviting house. OK no luxury, no WIFI, no mobile reception(there is a fixed phone for emergency), but all necessary items were available, clean and lots of wood for the fire. Kids loved the place, my daughter wants to go for a week now. Next day we went to Oberon for mushrooms, found some near Hampton State Forest as season is just starting. Overall highly recommended...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Relaxation Heaven Absolutely just what the doctor ordered. If you want to get away from all outside influences and sit back on the porch and just relax, then this is the place for you. Beautiful property, quaint comfortable country cottage, equipped with everything you need including a roaring fireplace. Only negative, beds could do with new mattresses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A rustic experience! We had a lovely stay here, made even better because of the snowfalls on our last day, turning our little farm experience into a true Winter wonderland adventure. However, for those considering spending a holiday here, it's worth mentioning that this is not luxury accommodation by any stretch. During our stay, we were provided with bare necessities only - 2 rolls of toilet paper, one towel each, one small bar of soap, one tea towel, no hand towels or floor towel for the bathroom. There was no heating apart from the excellent wood stove in the kitchen and electric blankets on each of the beds. We did have to make a trip back out to Oberon in order to get more toilet paper and an extra towel, and would have benefited from a few fire starters as well, as our fire went out in the middle of the night (it took us city folk a long time to get it going again). Still, with a roaring fire, the house was comfortable, and the shower was surprisingly good and hot. The views from the window were delightful, the cows were curious and we spent much of our time imagining what we would do if we owned the place! The location was also great for trips to Jenolan and Kanangra Walls.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect little farm house We really enjoyed the place for what it is - an adorable little farmhouse. Yes the mattress we slept on wasn't great but everything else was fine and it was very peaceful. The kids loved fishing (with no luck), seeing the cows and the amazing night sky. Not too far from Jenolan Caves which was great. Would definitely recommend to others.
