Description

Jenolan Valley View - resort style/budget price. Halfway between Katoomba and Jenolan Caves.

If you clicked through to here from our website or another advertising site then go back to it to send a request and avoid fees that apply here.

We do not use the Stayz online booking system so do not click the green 'request booking' button to the right that then prompts you to enter credit card details for payment. Use the green 'send a message' button visible when you scroll to the bottom of the listing just above the pricing. We will get back to you within 24 hours. If you wish to book then we will give you banking details so you do not expose your credit card. We understand that people wanting our style of accommodation often need considerable communication before deciding to book.

Group pickups from the local railway stations are available on weekends and holidays.

WE PRIDE OURSELVES ON PROVIDING A LOCATION FOR FAMILY AND FRIENDS THAT ALLOWS PEOPLE TO RELAX, ENJOY EACH OTHERS COMPANY AND COMMUNE WITH NATURE. THIS HOUSE IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE AND WE DO NOT PERMIT GROUPS TO BRING UP THEIR OWN LOUD MUSIC EQUIPMENT OR CONDUCT ROWDY GATHERINGS OUTSIDE AT NIGHT - IF YOU HAVE THIS IN MIND THEN PLEASE DO NOT ENQUIRE.

Jenolan Valley View is only let to single groups so you will not be sharing with other people.

Some people worry about bushfires in the mountains during summer. Jenolan Valley View is ideally located in a mostly rural part of the mountains that has been unaffected by fire in living memory. We look across to the Blue Mountains but are not threatened by the fires that sometimes occur there.

Please be aware that we do not let the house to groups with children who can not swim as the pool and dam are not fenced and are both close to the house.

It's an ideal location to come to the afternoon before you go to the caves. Spend the afternoon by the pool taking in the wonderful sunset. You will be up and at the caves before most have left the mountains, you can then use the rest of the day to visit Kanangra Walls near the caves.

See room numbers and descriptions below, photos of each room and a plan of the house are provided in the slides.

For future bookings please email using the 'send a message' facility below. We will get back to you within 24 hours.

For last minute bookings please ring on the number provided with the auto Stayz request confirmation as emailing may not be quick enough for your needs.

Unfortunately because of the shared nature of the premises, health regulations and in the interest of other guests we cannot accommodate pets or smoking inside.

Jenolan Valley View is ideally positioned part way along the famous Greater Blue Mountains Tourist Drive. It is near the start of Jenolan Caves road being rated one of the top 5 road bike rides in the country. It is less than 2hrs from most of Sydney and 1.5 hours from Western Sydney. You can get here easily after work on a Friday night and be ready to start your weekend first thing Saturday morning.

Jenolan Valley View is a 5 bedroom resort style home perched high on a cliff with spectacular views of the valley below.

We can supply all bedding or you can bring your own. If you want to cook your own meals then there is full kitchen facilities and an outside BBQ. The large town of Lithgow with its supermarkets, restaurants and clubs is only 10 minutes drive or you might want to have a meal at one of the very charming local country pubs that are also only a short drive. The 'Workies' club in town is renowned for its pleasant atmosphere and huge well priced meals.

There is perfect telephone reception for all mobile carriers providing reliable hot spot internet from Jenolan Valley View.

Activities

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for a Weekend Getaway We had an amazing time here for our work retreat! With a group of 15 adults, we were just able to reasonably accommodate everyone into the bedrooms. The kitchen/dining area was large enough for all of us to sit together, and the fireplace was a nice addition in keeping us warm. The oven wasn't the best, but still functional. The living room had a big comfy corner lounge with a large TV for us to watch some movies and play some games. Side note - for large groups, I would definitely recommend bringing some extra toilet paper (the closest grocery/liquor store is about 15-20 mins away). Best feature would definitely have to be the infinity pool/backyard! Even though it was way too cold for a swim, the pool reflected the sky and landscape beautifully and the view was stunning (especially during sunrise!) The outside fire pit was a challenge to light up as we couldn't find enough dry kindling, but once we got it going we had a fun time making s'mores. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here and would recommend staying (would love to come back during the summer to try out the pool!)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Finishing touches A few little finishing touches let this property down. The bbq was tiny for the amount of guests and we ran out of gas and had to arrange a replacement which turned up after 9:30 at night! Way too late to worry about cooking our dinner! There are no fans and the house is really hot so one of the nights was not a good sleeping night as it didn't get below 25 outside!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome affordable family accomodation! We absolutely adored our stay at the Jenolan Valley View Resort! We have a big family (8 people) which this place slept more than comfortably! The facilities were great (the kitchen was fully stocked with cutlery, pans, plates etc.) we swam in the pool almost everyday, the beds were comfy, the table tennis and pool table kept my brothers and sister entertained and when we wanted to relax the sitting room was comfortable and had a couch we wanted to take home. The most amazing feature of the house would have to be the breathtaking view from your backyard and the pristine gardens and grounds. I also really loved the layout of the kitchen and dining area, it was so open with high ceilings and was very modern. We enjoyed many a poker and monopoly games in the dining area and it was so great to take the kids away from WiFi and the internet! Seriously could not recommend this place highly enough will we definately be coming back, infact I'm feeling nostalgic already! Must also mention that Greg and Kathy were great hosts, very friendly, responsive and helpful! Throughout the house are awesome handy tips and places to go around the area which we took heed of and went to the Glow worm tunnel and Kanangra Falls (highly recommended best walk I have ever done! You will be lucky to book your holiday here :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Breathtaking View! We had an amazing time at this property, well catered for big groups with children. Kids loved the playing room as well as the camping fire & marshmallows! Highly recommend it! We will come back in Summer to enjoy the infinity pool which looked so appealing...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful We had a great few days staying here, and the passive heating certainly works amazingly well (although not in the games room!). The only thing to be wary of is that the oven doesn't work properly - only the top element works, which made our Christmas in July dinner a little tricky to cook! Loved the pool table, and the area is just stunning.
