Description

The Space

The space is a 3 bedroom apartment within the heart of Katoomba. Splashes of colour, loads of light and views to die for. Quality linen towels provided. Brekky provisions, and lots of goodies to make your stay special. Sit at the dining table and drink in the view Get inspired to write or read or create I have incorporated an eclectic mix of modern and quirky and the work of local artists is featured for sale so enquiries welcome. Three very different bedrooms to choose from. 2 queens and a double, fitted out beautifully. Electric blankets, extra doona's and throws all provided. Big gas combustion fire to curl up beside in the colder months and a newly restored deep bath to relax and have a soak The 360 degree views from the roof top are awesome for those longer stays there are laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor drying lines.

Guest Access

You will have full private use of the whole apartment but no parties at all. The apartment would suit 5-6 people, families, friends or even just one couple wanting to enjoy a few days out together. Rooftop access is strictly limited to laundry access and viewing or photography only.

Weekend stays are minimum 2 nights, all long Weekends are a minimum of 3 nights , all public Holidays are subject to a public holiday surcharge.

Interaction with Guests

Ross and I will most often be available for anything you may need so please don't hesitate to contact us should the need arise. One of us will most likely be present at your arrival to show you through and ensure that you have everything you need. We would be grateful to receive a call or message the day before you arrive if in the country and/or an estimated time of arrival to ensure we can be there to arrange keys etc.

The Neighbourhood

Katoomba has a lot of history and character and is the gateway to both upper and lower Blue Mountain attractions. If you are travelling further afield it is a great place to stop in transit. It's a little quirky, a little funky and has really friendly cafes, restaurants and its accessibility to other places makes it a very attractive destination for holiday makers. The home of the steepest railway in the world, The Scenic Railway, next to Echo Point and The 3 sisters, all the great trail walks, Leura Forrest, Giant Stairs, Furber Steps and Mt Solitary to name a few. The cultural Center in the very heart of Katoomba is well worth a visit. The new Restaurant called Palette Dining at The famous heritage Niagara Building has great food and a small food cocktail bar upstairs. Well worth a try. The Carrington Piano Bar has a great scene for a little late night dance or drink. And The Station Bar pizzas are extremely delicious. We have everything from Mexican, Japanese, Thai, Indian and Italian in the vicinity also. Take your pick If the weather should take a turn you could catch a movie at The Edge cinema or grab some take away food and head back to soak in a hot bath and watch a movie

Getting Around

There is ample parking around town, 3 major local supermarkets for provisions should you need. The apartment has a single car space allocated downstairs so please let us know if you are coming by car so that we can show you where the space is. If coming by train, its about 500m from the station only. We are a third floor apartment but only a short stair climb to one of the best views ever from your window Watch a storm roll in, see the early morning mist burn off and enjoy a great glass of wine from The Carrington Cellars at the dining table whilst drinking in the amazing views in the afternoon.

Please provide a phone number when you book with us so that we have a point of contact. The apartment is beautifully quiet and extremely well located where local amenities are concerned. The train station is only 2 minutes walk also. We have a prepaid wireless internet device for your use should you wish. It will have approx. 1GB already paid for and an access number will be provided in the welcome folder should you wish to top it up throughout your stay.

House Rules

The roof top is out of bounds except to view and photograph, or to access laundry facilities. Please no noise after 10pm. We would appreciate that you wash up your dishes and return all items used to their original place. Should you be interested in purchasing any of the artists work please call me to enquire.

There is a register book that we would be grateful if you would write how you enjoyed your stay with us and we would be most appreciative to receive a review on the accommodation provider website following your stay as March 2016 is a new beginning for this holiday apartment. Standard Terms and Conditions of Temporary Holiday Accommodation

All guests must be aware of our terms and conditions, variances can be agreed on but only by prior arrangement with the host in writing.

The owners will make every effort to ensure the property is available as booked. However the owners reserve the right to make alterations to bookings due to unforeseen circumstances.

To maintain a good standard for our guests we require certain conditions to be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions.

Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.

Parties, schoolies and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in payment of the security deposit and/or additional payments.

Damage, Breakages, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. Check-out time is 10am by the latest, to allow time to prepare property for next guests, unless prior arrangement has been made with the host in writing

Disturbance to our neighbour's, including excessive noise, is prohibited and may result in termination of rental and payment of the security deposit.

The security deposit is designed to cover any additional costs incurred including but not limited to, any breakage, damage or excess cleaning requirements, extra guests beyond those declared and is to be paid within 14 days of the owners request for payment

The owners take no responsibility for the tenant's personal property.

Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away! There are many "wow" moments when arriving to The Apartment. Firstly, the flat itself, is a beautiful Art Deco home, with a mix of contemporary & traditional design, making the place feel instantly like home. Then comes the breathtaking view. Added to this the goodies, eggs, milk, fruit,etc makes The Apartment is a standout. We will be back to Katoomba, just to stay at The Apartment again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic!! We have just stayed at this wonderful apartment for 3 nights with our daughter and her partner. Amanda is a fantastic host and has thought of everything that you may need for your stay. It the location is great- we were able to explore Katoomba and the surroundings and only a couple of minutes walk to the train station for a day in Sydney. We would certainly stay here again!! Thanks Amanda!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magic Apartment in Central Location! We recently had a four night stay at The Apartment and cannot thank Amanda and Ross enough for making us feel so welcome. Staying here was like being treated to a few days of bliss - lots of goodies left for breakfast and chocolate for Mum, warm comfy beds, lovely organic shampoo, long hot baths and beautiful views. The apartment is beautifully decorated and has everything you could want and need. After bush walking all day it is lovely to park the car, freshen up and then walk downstairs to find a myriad of restaurants, cafes, and bars. Take a 1 minute walk back to the apartment for a warm bath and TV by the fire place. The stairs are not an issue at all (unless you have very young children in a stroller or have mobility issues) and are a good warm up for bush walking! The bush walking book left out when you get there is fantastic and provides good tips to get away from the crowds. Thank you once again - we will be back (if you are not booked out!).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spacious apartment & excellent location Wow, we could never have expected that this apartment was everything we saw in the photos and more! Incredibly spacious for an apartment, amazing heating with a gas fire and walking distance to everything! Range of shops, cafes and things to see and do. Very well stocked fridge&pantry which we weren't expecting. I'd recommend it for families as well as a group of friends. We'd definitely go back to this beautiful apartment again!

The photos don't do this place justice, so much thought clearly has gone into every aspect. So many things included makes this superb value. The welcome we got along with the wealth of local information made us wish we could have stayed longer. Great customer service from the moment we booked and throughout our stay.
