The stone house is surrounded by national park and is at the end of a no through road. Our guests always comment on how quiet it is.
For lovers of history the house is furnished in an eclectic style of modern and genuine Australian antique furniture dating back to the 1800's. Many of the building materials come from our colonial past. The huge hardwood beams from a flourmill, the staircase from a hospital. Doors are mostly Australian cedar and the oak panelling and oak kitchen cupboards from the Seppelts building in Sydney. The managers door and the kitchen swinging doors downstairs are from the Richmond post office. The oversize cedar front doors are from a grand old house in the Maitland area.
Also on display are petrol pumps dating from 1920, 1930, and 1940. Memorabilia from cowboy movies of the 20's 30's and 40's and original oil paintings by Annemarie Holloway. We hope our guests find the house interesting and above all comfortable.
