With a reputation for quietness, quality of service, attention to detail and over 600 cottage teapots, Gladstone Lodge is an authentically restored guesthouse of the 1930's now operating as a Bed and Breakfast.

Built in 1927 Gladstone Lodge, an original Californian Bungalow guest house of the Blue Mountains, has been authentically restored to its former grandeur complete with the original oak furniture that once graced its rooms and halls.

Enter the warm inviting foyer and step back to a bygone era where cedar panelling lines the walls and traditional rugs are soft underfoot.

Let the log fire melt your cares away as Margaret your host escorts you around the property and lets you become familiar with Gladstone Lodge.

Your accommodation

Room 2 usually referred to as the maroon room will be yours for the duration of your stay and you can Identify it by the original brass number attached to the art deco four-panelled door. Your private room is elegantly appointed with:

Luxurious queen size bed

Duel controlled electric blanket

Original antique furniture

Fluffy white bath sheets

Cosy white bathrobes

Tea/coffee making facilities

Bedside lamps

Book of poetry vignettes

Private bathroom across the hall

Your stay

With accommodation for only one couple you have the luxury of your own private lounge room where you can sink into deep club armchairs, listen to music from the extensive CD collection or sip an after dinner port in front of the open log fire.

During the summer months you can relax on the front veranda with a good book overlooking the garden and watch the world go by.

In the morning, enjoy a three course hot breakfast of fresh fruit and yoghurt, juice, cereals, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes, crumpets or raisin toast and freshly brewed coffee or tea in either the formal dinning room, front parlour or on the front verandah overlooking the garden.

If you want to make your stay extra special, I can arrange a candle light 2 or 3 course dinner to be prepared especially for you and served in the parlour with after dinner coffee and port in front of the open fire in winter.
