Allara Cottage is a newly decorated, self contained Dutch Gable cottage, set on high with glimpses of the Kanimbla Valley and has a beautiful private garden surrounding it. The cottage is warm and cosy, with a log fire for those cool days and cold nights and for those in the mood for a little romance.
Allara Cottage is situated in a garden of the main residence. The Cottage has its own gated entrance which leads to the private and secluded garden.
The cottage contains one bedroom upstairs. The bedroom has a quiet ambiance with distant views to Kanimbla Valley with stunning sunsets. There is a queen size bed with electric blanket and soft furnishings.
Downstairs, there is an open plan dining, lounge and kitchen with the fire place. Timber for the fire is supplied for your use.
The dining area is well appointed with everything you may need for entertaining. The lounge area has two comfortable lounges, a TV, iPod dock for music and a DVD player with DVDs supplied for your convenience.
There are double glass doors opening onto the deck which leads to a private beautiful garden. One can just sit and while away the afternoon watching the sun go down over the garden and the horse paddocks next door. The wood fire burning to keep you warm and cosy indoors.
The kitchen is well appointed with microwave oven, toaster, dishwashing machine etc.You can eat your meals on the deck that has an outside furniture setting.
The bathroom is downstairs and well appointed.
There is a washing machine and clothes dry available for your convenience.
The cottage is not suited for those needing wheelchair access. There is a walk up a short path with stairs.
What to do at Mount Victoria and surrounds?
There is the hamlet of Mount Victoria to visit, it has two cafes, a pub, Mount Vic Flicks (which is a step back in time, a great experience), general store and post office, train museum at Mount Victoria Station (why not take the train to Lithgow and back - lots to see from the train).
Then there is the world famous Blue Mountains National Park, with so much to see and do including the valley views, gorges, bushwalks and the Three Sisters. Other great places to visit include the Megalong Valley, the Grose Valley and the Hartley Valley.
There a views to take in, shops to see at Blackheath and Leura, places to eat like the Monkey River Cafe on the Bells Line of Road, Tea Rooms Megalong Valley and much more. All within an easy drive walk. There are several bushwalks starting at Mount Piddington just up the road and a wonderful spot at Sunset Rock to watch the setting sun.
