Description

Omaroo certainly lives up to its name - which comes from the Aboriginal word for 'beautiful view'

* QUALITY FURNISHINGS, COMPLIMENTARY SATELLITE TV & WIFI INTERNET *

Perched at the very edge of the escarpment, this home has truly epic, uninterrupted views from almost every room: the lounge, dining, kitchen, both queen bedrooms (and their balconies), the massive entertaining deck... and the main bathroom, where you can relax in the spa while looking out over the valley below.

But don't let the views fool you... You may feel like you're at the end of the world, but with the historic Imperial Hotel just over 1 kilometre away, Blackheath's famous cafes and restaurants within 5 minutes drive, and the Blue Mountains' world-heritage wilderness and attractions in every direction, you'll have instant access to all that the region has to offer.

The beauty of this home (apart from the inspiring views) is that it has the charm of a cottage, with all the conveniences of a sumptuous mountain home:

- Enormous 50m2 entertaining deck

- Slow combustion fireplace + gas heating

- Spa bath with spectacular views

- 2 x bathrooms

- Leather lounges

- Solid timber bedroom, dining and outdoor furniture

- 80cm LCD TV

- Media Player with DVD, CD, MP3 AM/FM tuner and iPod/iPhone dock

- Foxtel TV channels

- Complimentary WiFi Internet*

- Doonas, doona covers & pillows provided

- Bed linen, bath/hand towels, mats & tea towels available for hire*

And if you decide to leave the house (we won't blame you if you don't) you'll be perfectly positioned for any adventure:

- Victoria Falls are just down the road

- Mount York, Mount Piddington and Zig Zag bushwalks and lookouts are close by

- Blackheath, Hat Hill & Evan's Lookout are just minutes away

- Katoomba, Echo Point, the Three Sisters, The Scenic Skyway and Railway are just 20 minutes by car

- The Zig Zag railway is just 13 kilometres away

- Megalong Valley is half an hour's drive

- The Jenolan Caves are 45 minutes from home

All this just 120klms from the centre of Australia's premier city, Sydney, and all of it's attractions.

* For information on internet usage, linen etc. see 'Pricing Details' below.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular views! Stayed this weekend for 3 nights and it was a very well kept property with spotless floors, kitchen and bathroom. It was cloudy and rainy so we didnt get to experience a beautiful sunset like in photographs but the views were more than enough to compensate for the cold miserable weather. The views from the spa bath (which we used twice a day since it was so cold!) and the views from the bedroom upstairs on left side were everything we hoped for. The mattress was perfect - firm with pillowtop - and pillows were nice and supportive. Lounge downstairs had worn out leather sofas but were well maintained. Kitchen was nicely fitted with everything you need. We used the oven and dishwasher almost everyday. Felt like there was unlimited supply of hot water which was exactly what we needed considering how cold it was. Dining room was really cold, even with the heater, so we normally used the cushions and placed it in front of that gas/fan heather and played monopoly which was available to use. Thanks for the monopoly! TV reception was excellent even though it was so windy. We wanted to purchase one of the movies on demand on Foxtel but werent sure if we could, so we left it to just watching channels - perhaps have an option available for purchase? Considering how cold it was, the gas oil heaters worked like a charm to warm up the bedroom upstairs. The only thing that was scary was that the house shook a little couple of times when it got really windy on Friday and Saturday night. It felt like the crack in the wall above the sliding doors in lounge room grew wider but i could be imagining it. Considering there 100 metre cliff was just couple of metres away, it was smart not to watch any horror movies at night. Would recommend owners to increase the price per night and perhaps change the light fitting in lounge room - it was quite dark, and later perhaps update the sofas. The folder guide needs updating with TV instructions since it referred to Samsung Tv. Would definitely stay here again! Oh also, definitely go down to Wattle Cafe - 10 mins drive to Blackheath - amazing breakfast. And thank you for letting us know the safer way to enter the property - through GrandView road.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing views! Lovely house with plenty of space and great facilities. Be aware there is no firewood provided even for first night but it is available from local petrol station. Kids fed birds from the deck and sunsets were beautiful. Well located to all attractions and bush walks. Highly recommend for a relaxing get away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing location Our stay was fantastic at Omaroo! we will definitely be back, not only was the view fantastic but the house itself was well kept with everything you need. waking up to 11 cockatoos on the balcony was great as well as walking down to Sunset rock for a different angle of the amazing sunset you can already see from the property. Highly recommended.
