Mimosa Cottage is a beautifully renovated and spacious Federation accommodation with all the elegant comfort and timeless charm of the period. The cottage features all the modern comforts to ensure a totally relaxing and restful stay within the world renowned Blue Mountains National Park.
After spending a good amount of time travelling as a couple, a family and with groups of friends we have decided to create an accomodation experience that we would enjoy and return to, a place to relax in a locality that offered a world class experience, hence Mimosa Cottage. We love the Blue Mountains as it offers a myriad of options for all ages, tastes and fitness. Have the Jane Austin experience with leisurely walks, beautiful scenery and High tea or follow a more energetic adventure in the footsteps of Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson and discover the majestic nature of the Blue Mountains National Park with its peaks, stunning vistas and hidden valleys. While on the trails discover and be amazed at the ancient history and art work of the First Australians.
This luxurious 3 bedroom cottage sleeps 6, one ensuite plus there is a main bathroom with bath. All bedrooms have queen beds, electric blankets and built in wardrobes.
A gorgeous gas log fireplace creates a lovely ambience and makes the lounge room a cosy and delightful place to relax, socialise or have some quite time. Just the place for reading, listening to music or watching a movie or sport on the wide screen TV. Anyone fancy a game of monopoly?
Beautiful new eat in kitchen is comprehensively equipped with all you need to cook a meal from breakfast to a feast. Cooking essentials such as salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, tea and sugar are supplied. We also have at hand kitchen towels, alfoil and glad wrap.
Take advantage of the large deck area, outdoor table for 8, sun lounge and deck chairs and a large Webber BBQ. Enjoy the warmth of the sun in the day and delight in the stars at night.
A large formal dining room seating 10 with the availability of fine china make this a beautiful setting for formal dinners, festive occasions, birthdays and special events.
Take your glass of wine to the rear garden, perfect for relaxing in the swing seat and enjoying the mountain air and the bird song. Fill the bird feeder and watch the rosellas and cockatoos snack.
Reverse cycle air-conditioning makes this house comfortable all year round.

ATTRACTION AND ACTIVITIES
The charming, small historic Mt Victoria village with it’s restaurants, cafes, antique and old wares shops is a 50m walk from our door. What’s not to love about fresh coffee, local pastries and browsing for curios while enjoying the old world charm of this village. Watch a current movie in a yesteryear experience at Mt Vic Flicks a mere 60 metres walk down the road and have a cinema experience the way it used to be, where you can pick up an extra cushion on your way in and order some home made cakes with a cup of tea served in nana’s bone china. If your feeling more energetic, take advantage of the local tennis court to practice your swing.
Within walking distance is the start of many amazing tracks into the world heritage Blue Mountains National Park. Mt Piddington and Pulpit Rock with their stunning vistas of this ancient range and the majestic Megalong Valley are an easy walks on the back streets of Mt Victoria. They can be enjoyed by those who enjoy a leisurely stroll or the keen hikers. This area is the beginning of all levels of trails from short one hour tracks or day long treks. Beautiful Govett’s Leap, Evans Lookout in Blackheath and the spectacular Echo Point in Katoomba are but a short drive away.
Close by is Megalong Valley with it’s wineries and spectacular scenery. Relax and taste the local wine and cheese while watching the spectacular cliffs change colour with the transiting sun. Or travel ten minutes west to the lovely village of Hartley with it’s art gallery and famous, pizza restaurant. Or have a leisurely fine dining experience with a long lunch in the historic Ambervale Rose restaurant, always a favourite with those in the know
