About Pearl Beach
Pearl Beach is a tiny National Trust village where life with all its charm and friendliness has been preserved. Surrounded by Brisbane Water National Park, the lush green canopy sweeps down to the ocean and one of New South Wales' prettiest beaches.
Pearl Beach is a relaxed, secluded haven. As you drive down the last winding bush road into Pearl Beach your stress levels fall.
For the energetic - a walk up to the waterfall pictured or through the National Park to Patonga is scenically very inspiring. For a more sedate walk try the Arboretum, or a stroll along the beach.
There is a wonderful local cafe with free Wi-fi that does great coffee and meals. The adjacent general store stocks a range of essentials, does take-away food and hires out sea kayaks.
Pearls on the Beach is a beautiful fully licensed restaurant right on the beach.
There is a salt water swimming pool and tidal rockpools at the southern end of the beach. Two small creeks run into the beach, one at the southern end, one near Pindari. This running water provides endless fun for small children. The waves at the southern end are small and safe for children. The surf is larger at the Northern end. There are local surf beaches nearby.
A 5 minute drive away in Umina there is a Coles and Woolworths, bottle shops, chemists etc etc to stock up for your stay. A number of local restaurants deliver to Pearl Beach if you don't feel like cooking.
But best of all there is the beautiful sandy beach with it's gorgeous, varying views of Lion Island, Barrenjoey headland, Box Head and Broken Bay, and the blue pacific ocean, with it's dancing pods of dolphins.
