Tumblegum Cottage is a charming cedar-clad cottage designed for comfort and relaxation. It occupies a high position with views across the O'Connell valley towards the Blue Mountains. Both the master bedroom and the living room have full-length windows to take advantage of this beautiful view. You'll wake up in the morning to kangaroos grazing just outside your window, and sunlight pouring into your country getaway. Make yourself comfortable on the wide timber deck with a good book and a cup of tea, breathe in the clear air and smell the scent of the gum trees, just metres away.
Inside, you'll find polished timber floors echoing the surrounding bush. On winter days, relax on comfortable lounges while the sun pours in. Experience the best of the country and the comfort of modern conveniences, with air-conditioning and heating, fully equipped kitchen, and electric blankets on every bed.
Have a private weekend away or come with friends, enjoying tastefully decorated queen and twin rooms. Take it easy or see the sights, you'll find plenty to keep you busy.
Bush horse-riding can be found just 500 metres up the road at Yarrabin; please enquire before your stay commences, the O'Connell and Tarana pubs are a short drive away as well as the highly recommended O'Connell Café and Tarana Cafe. Mayfield Gardens can be found a pleasant 15 minute drive towards Oberon. Jenolan Caves are a popular attraction, with tours and various activities held throughout the year. If you're interested in shopping, you'll enjoy the boutique shops and cafes in Bathurst, just 25 minutes away. Also in Bathurst you can experience the world-famous Mount Panorama race track, a mecca among car racing enthusiasts, and don't forget to visit the Mount Panorama Museum.

Picturesque O'Connell is a much sought after village, set in peaceful undulating hills just 25 minutes from Bathurst. The Fish River runs through the valley, providing a popular local spot for swimming, as well as BBQ facilities and a children's playground.
The 'Avenue' cafe, situated on the historic memorial avenue, provides award-winning locally roasted coffee, home-baked treats, and fabulous lunches Friday to Sunday, 8:30am-4:30pm.
Also close by you'll find renowned wines and gourmet food experiences in Orange, underground exploration at Jenolan Caves, and a variety of small towns and villages to wander in
Closer to home, you'll find everything you need in Bathurst, from boutique shops to local markets, from art galleries to the National Motor Racing Museum Take time to explore the Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum, the 'Somerville Collection', which contains close to 2000 specimens.
Visit historic Miss Trail's House, a local National Trust property holding a collection gathered over 150 years, or spend the day exploring Mayfield Gardens, one of the largest privately owned cool-climate gardens in the world.

Tumblegum Cottage is nestled on one corner of Ian and Cherri's forty-acre property, Tumblegum. Set away from the main house, you will enjoy complete privacy, although you may be visited by our local kangaroos, and a variety of wild birds, which we encourage to eat from the bird feeder on the deck.
Whatever the weather, you will be comfortable and relaxed on our wide deck overlooking established gum trees and rolling hills towards the blue mountains. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable. Our guests enjoy quality furniture, glossy polished wood floors, and tasteful decoration. You are made very welcome with air conditioning or heating turned on before you arrive, and provisions for continental and hot breakfasts supplied. Home-grown flowers adorn the kitchen table, and chocolates rest on you pillow. Eco-friendly toiletries await you in the bathroom, while electric blankets, heating, and soft cosy blankets make chilly winter days something to enjoy
