Description

Ideal if you are working away from home, holidaying for any length of time or an overnight stay on the way through to your destination.

This cottage accommodation is unique in Broken Hill - it has an in-ground pool. If you don't always enjoy a dip, you can relax inside. It's welcoming, light, airy and comfortable. It's the perfect place to relax after walking in the dust and heat around the local attractions that include Pro-Hart Gallery 2 streets away, The Sculptures and Silverton. Put your feet up and watch an assortment of DVDs.

The cottage was built in the 1920s - a 'Tinny' made from timber and corrugated iron. The floors are timber and the kitchen bluestone tiles. The cottage is self contained has 2 main bedrooms a third single room is also available. The main bedroom with mirrored built in robes has a queen size bed, the other bedroom has a double bed. Each bedroom is comfortably appointed with superior blankets, doonas and fresh linen.

The Pool House has a fully appointed kitchen including an electric stove and oven, George Foreman grill, sandwich maker, deep electric fry pan, round electric skillet, sauce pans, nutri bullet blender, baking trays and small and large utensils.

The open living and dining areas are freshly painted and tastefully decorated.

The laundry has ironing facilities and a washing machine.

The iron and timber bathroom has a roll top, claw foot bath with overhead shower and separate toilet. Plush towels are available. The toilet is also accessible from the outside pool area.

You will be comfortable with evaporative air conditioning, a wood combustion heater you can buy wood locally, and a secure yard with off street parking.

Adjacent to the secure pool is a pergola area with large Outback plate and grill gas BBQ with a 9kg gas bottle. The gas is free but you must clean the BBQ after use.

There is a table and chairs for your outside dining or a grassed area for your relaxation.

Oh and pets can stay too - enquire with owner. An additional $10 charge per night will apply for short term stays. No furry friends are allowed on the furniture or beds.

Note: All efforts are made to ensure the pool is available for swimming at all times. However, unforeseen problems can occur with pool equipment and the availability of the 'Pool Guy'. During these times the pool may not be available - all efforts will be made to rectify this - no refunds apply to pool unavailability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outback Gem! Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Pool House.......along with our blue/red Heeler, who felt at home there, almost as soon as we walked in the door! The house is cosy, clean and comfortable. Fantastic living area spaces, good size yard and loved having a pool to jump into, as the weather was mid-high 30's while we were there - Highly Recommend!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute place...restful and quiet We were en route from Brisbane to Adelaide with a small dog so relieved to find a place where we could have the dog with us overnight. Having a house to ourselves was also a nice bonus after 3 long days on the road. The pool is probably a great asset in the summer, but on a cold autumn night, we needed the combustion heater. So collecting some wood from the fellow with a sign out front was worth all of the $15. Thanks for the firelighters - some kindling would have been good. Otherwise it's a comfortable place, typical of an old miner's cottage I expect. A few rough edges - no milk, two teabags, but we were appreciative of a restful place to spend the night.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Friendly The manager came around promptly to fix the TV reception for me which I really appreciated. Travelling with my beloved elderly dog, accommodation is not always easy to find, and it is genuinely dog friendly. Very comfortable bed. It would be great if heavy curtains or better fitting venetians were installed in the front bedrooms, as the street lights are very bright. It is on a fairly busy road. Close to town centre. Off street parking, and can close the gate.
