Fantastic cottage centrally located
We loved this little cottage. Rick and Cathy communicated personally and were very helpful. It is well appointed and charming at he same time. A stroll to dinner was great. Recommend the Astra. Otherwise Broken Hill lets itself down on the cuisine front but then again if we wanted fine dining we could have stayed in Sydney.

Very comfortable property - perfect for the dog!
Emaroo Oxide lived up to expectations - very clean and tidy with great facilities for us and a safe, fully fenced garden for the dog to play in. The wine and choccies in the fridge on arrival was a nice touch! The property was exactly as advertised - close to all the main shops/bars and restaurants and very well presented. The only downside was that we were there on a Friday and Saturday night, and Oxide Street seems to attract a significant noisy contingent on both nights. People running up and down the street, shouting, at 3am was not appreciated, as both bedrooms face the road. Not a massive issue at all, but something to be aware of if you are a light sleeper or have young children with you. Overall, a very nice place to stay and we felt very well looked after. We would definitely book an Emaroo Cottage again.

The garage door was a bit tricky to open from inside. We really appreciated coming into a cool house when the temperature outside was above 40 degrees. Our dog enjoyed the stay also. As we only stayed one night on the way to Adelaide 917th December 2012) and one night onour way home we did not get the full benefit of what was available to us. Maybe next time we could stay for a bit longer and explore the town more. Norma Jentz
