We are centrally located to Millthorpe, Orange, Canowindra and Mandurama. Based in the heart of the countryside, you can enjoy starry nights and a magical location. This cottage is a large three bedroom cottage that dates back to the 1830's. It over-looks the Millamolong Polo Club ground and has a deck that is the perfect spot for a wine or a whiskey as the sun goes down. We don't think there is another property overlooking a polo field available with quite the same amazing history as this property - so you are staying somewhere truly unique.
If you are a mad keen golfer you are welcome to use the pitch as a driving range no divots on the pitch, and if you are a polo player you are welcome to bring your horses condition's and NSW polo registration apply.
Not far from the famous wine growing and foodie-heaven region of Orange, you can explore plenty of vineyards and local attractions from this cottage. This cottage will take you back to simpler times and prides itself on NOT having zipped up mega fast wifi it does have some mobile reception. It has no computer games SO.....for those parents who like on line screen time, this is NOT for you.
It does have most other mod cons and all our guests delight in its magic. This cottage is for those of you who want to have some treasured times, laughter and space with your friends or family. We can guarantee you the best night sleep as it does come with a king sized uber comfy bed, a double bedroom and a large bedroom / rumpus room with up to six beds three full singles, plenty of quiet and no traffic.... you can make as much noise as you want We look forward to seeing you at Millamolong Polo Cottage.
The cottage is completely stand-alone, you won't see the owners car pulling up and hear anything other than the laughter of your guests and the great Aussie outdoors.... in fact you cannot see the neighbours If you don't want peace and quiet this isn't for you. If you want to not worry about your own noise or quietness this IS the place for you We are just a text message or phone call away if you need us during your stay.
Everything in the house is there for your enjoyment. You are in the heart of the country so whilst the doors can be locked - they always tend to be open and welcoming
The best option is driving as there is no public transport to this location. Taxis from town are available but may be costly.
Please note the directions / How to find us on our website 'Millamolong' page. This cottage is easy to find but if you don't follow the instructions you can find yourself heading off track
Other things to note
Pets are welcome, but not inside the house please and not ones that chase cows bring a lead. If you have a dog, keep them close to you at all times and away from cattle and sheep ... our local farmers are magnificent folk but they understandably get cranky if you mess with their stock
This cottage has a BBQ, no washing machine Hooray, Espresso coffee machine and all you'll need for a weekend away.
Be aware during fire ban season that fire pits are not recommended.
The road is a dirt road which is fine for all vehicles but go slow and watch for the friendly kangaroos especially at dusk .. they may look good and make you feel like you have arrived .. but you don't want them denting your wagon.
As with all country living Rule 1 is Please Close All Gates after you .. no exceptions unless it has a cattle ramp and Rule 2 Don't leave taps running as we are on lovely rain water.
