Rose Cottage is perfect for a family getaway with your pet or if you are working in Dubbo or surrounds and want the comforts of home. It is a centrally located 3 bedroom fully furnished cottage that comfortably sleeps 5 - 6. There is a sofa bed in the living room if needed for an extra person. There is a living room, fully equipped dine-in kitchen, bathroom and laundry. There are 2 toilets in the house, one in the bathroom and one in the laundry. The bedding consists of 2 queen beds, a double bed and a double sofa bed in the living room. There are split system air conditioning/heating units in the living room, dining room and front bedroom to keep the house comfortable. All bedrooms have a ceiling fan. There is a wall of wardrobe in the single bedroom and drawers in the other rooms. Linen, electric blankets, towels and coffee/tea making facilities are also provided.
The yard is child and pet friendly. The house has a fully fenced front yard and seperately fenced back yard, perfect for your children or dog to run around after travelling. There is a carport in the driveway and an outdoor setting in the back yard. Two dog beds and a dog pool are available. We can also provide access to a lockable garden shed if you bring bicycles with you.
In close proximity to the house are local shops on both Tamworth St includes an IGA, bottle shop, chemist, newsagent and coffee shop and Boundary Road includes the South Dubbo Tavern & Bottle Shop, great for a family meal, chemist, post office, Thai massage and 2 medical centre. Dubbo Base Hospital is s convenient 3.4 km journey. The house is very close to a high school, 2 primary schools and a day care centre. The local bus route stops at the corner, one house away. A leash free dog park is less than 2 kms away.
The house is located in Dubbo NSW, the home of Taronga Western Plains Zoo, 7.5 kms away, Old Dubbo Gaol, the Macquarie River, Red Earth Winery, Players Paint Ball and archery and many other activities. The cycle track that circles the river and zoo is easily accessible from the house. Downtown Macquarie Street features 2 malls, Myer and a variety of retail stores, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Orana Mall is located to the East and is 3.5 kms away. The airport is 7.9 km away. These trips take about 10 minutes on average.
Wellington is 40 minutes away and features Burrendong Dam, which is perfect for fishing, swimming and water sports, the Wellington caves and a Japanese Garden. Wellington is well appointed with 2 grocery stores and a number of restaurants and cafes.
