Yarrawonga Cottages are located on 25 acres just 20 minutes north east of Mudgee, on a sealed access road in a quiet rural valley overlooking the Munghorn Gap Nature Reserve. A three hour drive from the outskirts of Sydney via Lithgow and Mudgee, or approx 4 hours from Newcastle via Sandy Hollow and Bylong/Wollar.
Each of the four cottages are fully self-contained and well equipped with all you will need to enjoy a quiet weekend, romantic getaway or short holiday. The cottages feature reverse cycle air conditioning, electric blankets, BBQ, CD/DVD player, cooking facilities, fridge, iron and ironing board, kitchen, fully serviced with linen and towels supplied, microwave, no smoking, parking, patio, well behaved pets welcome, tea/coffee making facilities, television with videos/DVDs supplied satellite TV on Myrtle, Free-to-Air on Banksia, WiFi Internet for a fee, and a selection of books and games. All cottages are on tank water.
You will need to bring your food and drink requirements. The nearest shopping is Mudgee township. The nearby Old Cooyal Hotel two minute drive offers an excellent menu for lunch and dinner. There are several excellent vineyard restaurants within 20 minutes that serve seasonal menus. Some are available all week, others weekends only.
Within a 20 minute drive of Yarrawonga are many of Mudgees famous vineyards, as well as wilderness and walking trails, including the Munghorn Gap Nature Reserve.
Historic Gulgong is 30 minutes away, and the spectacular 'Drip' near Ulan is 40 minutes away.
Alternatively, Yarrawonga is a quiet 'go nowhere' place to relax on the verandah with a book and a bottle or three of you favourite beverage.

Banksia - Sleeps two in a Queen Bedroom, plus a double sofabed in the Lounge room
Grevillea - Sleeps two in a Queen Bedroom, plus two singles in the loft. There is a day bed and trundle in the lounge/dining room that can be used as an additional double bed, or two singles.
Myrtle - Sleeps two in a Queen Bedroom, plus two singles in the loft.
Wattle - Sleeps two in a Queen Bedroom, plus two singles in the loft.
When choosing the loft accomodation please consider that the loft is accessed by a ladder and would be unsuitalbe for very young children, or the elderly and/or infirm.
Well behaved pets are welcome, however please keep them off the furniture, and out of the bedroom. You are expected to clean up after your pets, like you, later guests do not appreciate stepping on dog logs.
No responsibility is accpted for your pets. There are working sheep properties adjacent, and prolific native wild life. Uncontrolled dogs may be injured or lost if they stray onto adjacent properties, or chase the kangaroos.
