In the heart of Mudgee, tucked away on a quiet street is our delightful gardener's cottage, with fruit and shade trees, vine-covered pergola and shady verandas. The garden features many fruit trees including fig, apricot, peach, lemon and plum trees.
Famed for fine wines, merino wool & honey, horse and cattle studs, Mudgee has emerged as an ideal destination for weddings, leisure and entertainment and as a gourmet’s paradise for fresh local produce and great restaurants.
Located only minutes’ walk or cycle ride from the town centre with its many bars, restaurants and cafes, the cottage is perfect for a romantic weekend getaway, for a special event such as our famous Wine and Food festival, the Day on the Green, Mudgee Mudfest and the Huntington Music Festival, or simply as a base to explore and enjoy the many other attractions our region offers. These include wine and olive tasting, national parks, the Saturday gourmet food markets and Farm Walks, kayaking at Dunn’s Swamp, star-gazing at Mudgee Observatory, ballooning, scenic flights, polo and race meetings, regular music festivals and the Western Plains Zoo.
The cottage which sleeps 4 to 6 is decorated to a high standard and has an array of traditional features with a modern twist throughout.
All bed linen, bath towels and cooking and dining amenities are provided, including outdoor barbeque on request- guests only need to bring their personal effects and toiletries. Guests receive a welcome pack which includes fresh, free range eggs from our farm.
