Normandie Cottage, built in the 1930s, is cosy and the perfect place for a weekend getaway. A stroll to the centre of town, only 100m to Church Street, the Main Street in mudgee, which makes you only minutes from the shops, cafes, amenities, pubs and homewares. A short drive to our gorgeous Wineries.

Are you eager for a weekend getaway? A week to breath in some clean country air? Are you guests at a stunning Mudgee region wedding? Wanting to get the kids away from the city life for a bit? Or getting an urge to visit our famous wineries with a group of your friends? This home is absolutely perfect for you, comfortably accommodating up to 11 adults in beds and a futon single futon.

Sleeping: 3 x Queen beds, 1 x Double bed, 2 x Single bed & 1 x single futon.

The Cottage is styled with brand new country homely furnishings, to keep in line with its beautiful heritage touches. Built in the 1930s, Normandie Cottage is the perfect balance between old world interior with a fresh modern kitchen and bathrooms. There is 3 bedrooms all with Queen beds, 1 of these with a Single bed, and a Double/Single bunk bed & a Futon, in an open room adjoining the living room, the bunk beds are fine for adults, futon is for small adults & children. The Cottage has recently been painted on inside and out, so it feels fresh and clean. All of the bedrooms have block out curtains or blinds to keep that early morning sun out, so you can have a nice sleep in. The patio is perfect for outside entertaining, there is a grass garden for the kids to run around or you can cosy up with a wine in front of the lounge room fireplace.

NOTE: For the summer months it’s gets hot in Mudgee, so each room has a fan, however air conditioning is only available in the living room.

Bedroom One is large bedroom with a Queen bed and Single bed at the back of the Cottage. It has beautiful natural light beaming in from the north, then sets down through the windows opening to the courtyard. A walk in wardrobe equipped with a bassinet and cot, the dark room is perfect for your little one to get some sleep. There is an ensuite with a shower also blackout blinds if you prefer to sleep in.

Bedroom Two is at the front of the Cottage. The room also has a Queen bed, plenty of natural light and leads onto the central courtyard. The block out blinds can be used to keep the North sun from entering to and a built in wardrobe to hang your clothes.

Bedroom 3 is another Queen bedroom that is situated off the kitchen & dining area, a smaller room equipped with a build in wardrobe and a window that captures the afternoon sun perfectly. The bedroom has some blinds.

The Bunk bed room is large, in the middle of bedroom 2 and the lounge room. It has a Double and Single bunk bed, and a single bed size futon which is only suitable for children or small adults. This room has blinds for a nice sleep in and a clothes rack to hang up your outfits.

All of the bedrooms have fans to keep you cool and extra blankets for winter. The Cottage is open living with a modern kitchen and dining perfect for entertaining, this leads through French doors to the patio and yard where there is an outdoor entertaining dining furniture and BBQ.

The main bathroom is large with a bath & shower. The lounge room has 3 couches, a fireplace, air conditioning/heater & TV.

The country styled home is located on a quiet street, minutes from Aldi, and a couple of blocks to cafes, pubs & homewares stores. It is just a short drive to our local wineries, trails and walks around the Mudgee countryside.

All of our guests will receive a 10 off Food voucher to be enjoyed at Eton's Eating + Drinking. This establishment has a great menu for both lunch & dinner. This voucher can be used on food for one visit for your group. So please have a fun time at Normandie Cottage & Elton's on your next stay in Mudgee

They are located at 81 Market Street, 10 mins walk.


If you need to check in earlier before 3pm, please let me know and I'll see if I can accomodate this for you, it will just depend on other bookings.


A mandatory Cleaning service charge $160 per stay & Refundable Damage Deposit $500 & Stayz admin service fee. Per Stay. Prices may fluctuate due to demand of property, and can change at anytime prior to when booking has been confirmed by guests. Stayz do charge you a booking service fee, that is charged on top of your nightly price.

If you require a quick turn around check in, same day the check in time will also be delayed to 5pm depending on the size of previous group.

HOT WATER I must advise that showers be kept to a minimum, We like to conserve water in the country. FYI there hasn't been much rain at all for 2017.

Linen, doonas, comforters, pillows and towels, 1 each, are provided for up to 11 people. The doonas should be warm enough, along with oil heaters and the lounge room fire place, however if you feel the cold easily, please bring your own extra warm doonas and towels. Doonas and an extra blanket are provided for the Queen rooms, but only a doona is provided for the bunk beds. For groups bigger than 11 guests, you will have to bring your own linen, pillows, doonas & towels.

Coffee, tea & sugar is supplied. If it runs out, Aldi is just around the corner to fill up on supplies. Please bring your own milk.

If you use the BBQ, please follow all of the rules and clean the BBQ thoroughly before the check out time.

There is a fireplace for your use, please just empty COLD ASHES into metal bucket provided, and maintain a SAFE environment when using it as logs can fall out of the combustion heater easily. Extra Wood and fire starters can be bought from Bunnings up on the Sydney Road, or possibly Mitre 10 on the corner. We will supply some logs for you at the side of the house, however you will need to bring your own newspaper and kindling can be collected in the park across the road if need be. Wood will be supplied in winter months.

Or for your convenience, please warm the lounge room with the heater provided. There are two oil heaters, however are only small for the two large rooms, so if you feel the cold, please bring an extra blanket, especially for those sleeping in the bunk beds.

There is a washing machine, dryer and clothes line, please bring own washing powder for a top loader if you will be having an extended stay and needing to wash your things, there is enough o do a couple of loads. Aldi is easily accessible so all grocery shopping can be done with ease. Not to mention the bottle shop which is just in town.

Mezzanine level in front queen bedroom - no one is allowed access to this for your own safety, hence why I have placed a chair in front of the access. The banister is low and I ask you to strictly follow my instructions of "No Access allowed" please. There is a sign on a he stairs that clearly states "No Admittance". Thank you

DOGS/ANIMALS - please let me know in your booking request if you plan on bringing a dog or cat with you, or any other animal. I will only allow this if your dog is garden trained, and by this I mean no barking, no digging, no jumping fences, no crying at night. We will need to discuss this before your booking is confirmed. Your dog will need to be content with living and sleeping outside. NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED INSIDE the home at any time as dogs can catch fleas very easily and be left inside, and traces of dogs on furniture can leave future guests with allergies. No UNVACCINATED dogs are allowed on the property, as they can leave traces of disease in their urine and faeces, and unfortunately will pass this on to other dogs. All dog faeces and wee must be cleaned up and disposed of in the public bins before leaving the property or be put into your own doggy bag and deposited into the Otto bin. If the garden has been dug up or dog hair is found on the couches and in the rooms, then the damages bond will not be returned. Reason being, I will have to replace linen and get couches professionally cleaned for the comfort of future guests. In the very hot summer months approximately January and February, Mudgee reaches levels of 35-45 degrees, so as a dog owner I can not have dogs safely sitting outside in this heat, so I will not allow it, sorry. They can stay in the laundry where it is cool.

Smoking is not allowed, please smoke on the street and deposit butts in the public bins.

We ask that you please keep the noise down after 9pm to keep our neighbours happy. Please take yourselves inside to keep noise down. No parties are permitted please as this is our home away from home, and we would like to keep everyone happy, and of course have you back as a guest on your next stay in Mudgee.

There is PLENTY of parking on the street.
