This large, two storey terrace house is ideally suited for 1-3 couples who are keen to immerse themselves in the rich food and wine culture of Orange. Being one of the oldest residences in town means the terrace is situated centrally with everything you are likely to need within easy walking distance.
Sample the delights of Orange food and wine while enjoying the comforts of this warm, inviting and spacious historic terrace house. Owned by well travelled film makers who tree-changed to Orange in 2002, the terrace reflects their experience in creating a home away from home.
Bowen Terrace House is in a convenient and central location allowing guests to explore Orange easily. Great coffee, fine food, fantastic art gallery, museum, cinemas, post office, library, supermarkets, shopping and the train station are all within easy walking distance.
Guests enter the terrace house via a private, lavender filled courtyard, protected by a large market umbrella and featuring tables and chairs for outdoor dining or to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. The large dining room is entered via French doors where two armchairs are positioned to allow you to enjoy the morning sun. The lounge room is full of comfortable places to sit and read, including a large day bed and two leather armchairs where you can sit and watch TV, read or relax in front of the state of the art gas log fire. The lounge also features a recently rescued chapel organ
A well appointed kitchen, with stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge will allow you to whip up a meal and keep your wine cold if you decide to eat in instead of venturing out. A coffee pod machine, and tea making facilities are provided.
Accommodation is provided in three bedrooms all with comfortable beds, loads of pillows, beautiful embroidered linen and electric blankets, should you need them. The large downstairs master bedroom includes an elegant brass queen bed and the enormous upstairs queen bedroom, looks out over the terrace balcony via two large French windows. The third bedroom features a double timber bed carved in East Africa and collected by the owners while filming in Kenya.
There are two large bathrooms, upstairs with a shower, vanity and toilet and downstairs with a spa bath, shower and toilet. Body wash, hand soap and soft, fluffy towels are provided.
Please note that the terrace is not suitable for crawling infants or children under 12 years old. Only bookings for adults, and children, 12 and over, will be accepted.
