Just under 2 hours from Sydney, and half an hour from the popular Hunter Valley vineyard area,Tilbatilla is found in a beautiful private valley. Children have the space to run and play safely, and your dog will love the freedom also.
Between sandstone bluffs, with a permanent creek winding around the house, cows in the paddocks, bird calls in abundance, grapevines,and orchard, this property is a nature lovers paradise. Just relax on the wrap around verandah or entertaining deck to enjoy the aura and views. On a clear night the stars are amazing, you can spot the falling stars and satellites whilst enjoying the warmth of the safely contained outdoor fire.
The house is fully furnished, cooled with air conditioning in summer, and heated in winter with a wonderful wood fire. The kitchen has been renovated and is ready for guests to cook up a feast. Bedrooms are comfortable, bathrooms clean and every effort will be made to help guests enjoy their stay. Perfect for small gatherings, the quiet valley setting means parties and large gatherings will need prior approval from the owners.
Pets are welcome, subject to the owner's approval, but must be controlled to make sure no disruption to the other animals or the local area occurs.
Seven chickens live on site to provide fresh eggs for you, in return for feeding and watering them.

Kitchen - Modern and new, two ovens, microwave, fridge with water & ice dispenser, coffee pod machine, pantry, pots, pans, etc and some basic non perishable foods such salt and pepper, spices.

Main Bathroom - three way with separate toilet and Shower/Spa rooms

A visit to the main property may be arranged, Here you can meet the animals Pat a horse, watch the new calves frolic in the paddock. There is a large dam for a swim, or a canoe, and bush walks to enjoy the local eucalyptus woodland. Sometimes you can spot a platypus in the creek, or watch the wallabies coming down to enjoy the sweet green grass. Bird watchers will enjoy the area which has had over 60 different birds identified recently.
The valley is perfect for bike rides, long runs, horse riding or hiking. The Great North Walk crosses the valley close by, making the house a perfect stop on your journey. The Watagan National Park borders the valley and can be accessed nearby.
Things to note:
A minimum stay of 2 nights helps us keep the price down, but if you want to stay just one night there is a small surcharge depending on the booking details.
There is no mobile phone reception at the house, but visitors may get a signal at the main gate. Data is available through our Satellite internet connection, for services such as viber and messenger, and there is a landline which can be used for important calls. Excessive phone charges $15 plus will be deducted from the security deposit.
At times of extremely heavy rainfall the access roads may flood and become unpassable. In this case visitors will be unable to travel into the valley and will need to arrange another time for their visit. We will endeavour to contact you if access becomes difficult.
