We offer guests a stone and timber house that serves as a wonderful entertainment area. Think open fireplaces and magnificent lounges. Our spacious, el-fresco style dining area provides spectacular views of the 120 acres property to explore. There is approximately 6 kms of groomed dirt road leading up to the house. It really is a fun little adventure away from it all with a beautiful luxury house at the end of the drive, hidden away in your own private secluded getaway.

Situated in the heart of NSW’s picturesque Lower HunterValley, our property lies within a beautiful lush green, sandstone riddled valley in the hills of Laguna. Our acreage rests in the corner pocket of the Yango Valley National Park. We have 120 acres on this property of you to explore. Located only 15 minutes drive from the Laguna Wine Bar, a local watering hole, and just 25 minutes from the historical township of Wollombi. We are just 2 hours from Sydney and reside in a breathtaking, pristine countryside. Our unique valley boosts an array of breathtaking gullies, microclimates and a variety native Australian flora and fauna. Ancient sandstone is peppered through the land, which adds to the whole regions natural landscape.

At present we offer guests a stone and timber house that serves as a wonderful entertainment area housing an open fireplace and magnificent lounges. Our spacious, el-fresco style dining area provides spectacular views out onto our timber deck where guests can observe native flora and birdlife. An outdoor shower mingles with the natural landscape, rounding out a blissfully tranquil setting. Features subdued lighting, natural stone and timbers to create the perfect ambience.

The property currently consists of a three-bedroom house, including large master, with King-size bed and large open French doors leading to potential outdoor garden area in back. The house is equipped with decorative spotlighting LED, timber and brass fans throughout. The house boasts a number of French style doors that fold and open up as well as American Oak large face flooring throughout.

We have expertly created a large decking area with a built-in eight person spa for night time star gazing Spa not function but we hope to have it running mid July 2016, lantern style decorative lighting throughout, large laundry area with marble countertop, an expansive indoor sandstone fireplace, outdoor el-fresco dinning area, family size BBQ and two outdoor showers. Decorative features include six painted wine barrels, timber tabletops, surrounded by timber railing with arm rests. The spa area is surrounded by three large timber trees as features to create ambiance. Decking has two large trees within its structure. One outdoor shower is build off a tree feature with decorative plants and stone tiling on floor. Kitchen is fully equipped with high quality appliances including gas stove and oven, built-in dishwasher, stainless steel fridge and microwave. The kitchen includes a large white stone top island and is equipped with an array of cooking utensil ideal for a gourmet chef’s kitchen. Lounge area includes dark mocha leather couches and armchairs, decorative cushions, lamps and 65 inch plasma Samsung Curve TV. Large stylish rug, fire tools/gate, stone chessboard, timber wine storage and whiskey station, and other decorative pieces some sourced from Morocco.

Please note: There is no mobile phone reception in the area. You are welcome to use our landline phone to make any calls. There is also no grocery store other than a small general store. It is best to do all your shopping before getting on the highway. Please note that the third bedroom is the smallest and consists of the bunk bed with a double base and single top. It is accessible via the deck and although it shares it's walls with the main house, the door in is technically from the deck outside as such,although insulated, the room does not get direct heating from the house. We are also awaiting custom blinds for the house, we have temporary put up some linen for you to block the light from the windows in two of the smaller bedrooms in case of those wanting a sleep-in.

Guest Access

You will be able to access all parts of the house. Access to the property is best via SUV specifically if there has been a lot of rain. There is 8km of gravel dirt road leading up to the property. Smaller cars can handle the drive as we have driven up many times and have had guests with sedans etc drive up. However, conditions can get a bit slippery after heavy rainfall so please drive to conditions. We are also currently doing some landscaping, as such be mindful that there is a bit of earthworks around the property.

Things to do in the Hunter Valley are endless and cater to a wide audience, age groups and experiences. The Hunter Valley offers various types of air adventures helicopter charters/hot air balloon safaris, art galleries & studios, breweries & distilleries, cheese shops & local produce, children’s activities, cooking & wine schools, cycling, day spas, gardens, golf, historic villages, sites & museums, horse riding and activities, hot air ballooning, nightlife and entertainment, local markets & shopping and adventure activities.

Our place is only accessible via your own transport.

Other Things to Note

Beautiful valley, with gullies, bushwalk/ hiking areas all to yourself. It is an adventure in itself. Three dams to explore, bird watching. We have a number of species of bamboo for you to look at as well as citrus trees. Scenery is breathtaking with variety of birds, kangaroos grazing in the grass paddocks in early morning. There are two local pubs to explore, The Laguna Wine bar that offers you quaint country charm and enables you to intermix with the locals. They also have live music on certain nights. The next pub is located at Wollombi Tavern. Wollombi is a historical townsite full of charm with coffee shops, local stores, wine cellars to explore.
