The Gum Leaf Cabin is freshly renovated and fully self-contained with every comfort you could desire.

This is a unique two-story hardwood log cabin. Sleeping and relaxing downstairs, and dining and entertaining upstairs makes this layout comfortable and easy to use.

Carawirry Forest Escape is a privately owned 250 private acre property. It is almost completely treed as is a prime example of a spectacular native warm temperate rainforest.

You'd be forgiven for thinking you have left the real world behind.

With limited mobile phone service and no internet available, this is the perfect opportunity to unwind, switch off from your hectic lifestyle and reconnect with friends and family.

You can walk the seasonal Carawirry creek as it meanders through the property. It's bursting with unique and beautiful flora and fauna. Amazing opportunities for lovers of photography. Bird watchers will be in heaven. Bushwalkers have kilometers of trails to explore.

Carawirry shares its borders with the Black Bulga National Park Conservation Area and Chichester State Forest. The possibilities for mountain bike riding and bushwalking are endless. Explore the unique Jerusalem Creek Trail, an easy 2km loop only a short drive from Carawirry. Just one of the many local natural attractions

Carawirry Forest Escape is an easy and scenic 20 minute drive from the picturesque town of Dungog. You will pass beautifully restored wooden bridges, rolling green pastures and working beef cattle and dairy farms.

Dungog itself boasts - four charming cafes and a local bakery, three character-filled pubs, a bowls and RSL club, quirky pizzeria and a microbrewery perfect for an afternoon of relaxing.

Dungog also has antique stores, an art gallery, a large IGA supermarket, fruit shop and The James Theatre, a beautiful old cinema famous for being the oldest continuously running cinema in Australia.

On Saturday mornings the local growers market at the CWA building is an ideal place to buy cheap, fresh, locally grown produce including sourdough and pastries from Fosterton Biodynamic Farm.

With so much to keep you occupied - you can choose to be as busy or sedate as you like. One thing is for sure though - we're confident you won't want to leave the spectacular peace and quiet once you have arrived.
