This property offers you a chance to get away and relax in a peaceful bush environment. It is a rustic getaway set on 200 acres an hours drive from Hornsby. There are approximately 6 acres cleared and fenced with three friendly cows and an alpaca. Chickens and a peacock roam free. It is located in a north facing valley at the end of a small country road and adjoins the Onley State Forest forming part of the Watagan Mountains creating a completely private and tranquil setting with endless bush-walking opportunities.
This place provides a chance to gather and get grounded in nature. What does it mean to be Grounded@Mandalong?
To be grounded or earthed is to reconnect with nature. This is your chance to step away from technology and our fast paced lifestyle and to simply walk barefoot on the earth, hug a tree and spend time in nature at its slowest.

An open plan room with two bunks, two single beds and a sofa bed
One bedroom with a queen bed
One recently renovated bathroom shower, toilet and basin
Hot water requires a fire to be made in the outside wood heater
Solar power charges the lights in the cabin
There is limited mobile phone access and no electric power.
Camping is also an option.
Just 15 a minute drive into Morisset and you will find a surprising variety of restaurants, shops and major supermarkets and a train station linked to Newcastle and Sydney.
Visit the colourful local Morisset Markets and Bird Auction – first Saturday of every month.
Beyond Morisset is Lake Macquarie, the largest saltwater lake in Australia. Here you can hire kayaks, Stand up Paddle boards or bikes to explore the lake. See more ideas of things to do in the area at Tourism NSW - Morisset.
Cooranbong is an interesting small town with cafe, bakery and craft shop - The Elephant Shop. There is a Seventh-day Adventist owned estate opposite the Cooranbong shops. The estate is home to Avondale College, a Seventh-day Adventist tertiary education institution, and the Sanitarium Health and Wellbeing Company. Most shops are closed on Saturdays at Cooranbong.
To get to Cooranbong it is a short drive approximately 15 minutes from Mandalong turn left onto Mandalong Road and head towards Morisset, then in 2.6 km turn left onto Deaves Road, and follow the signs to Cooranbong.
