All the mod-cons in this newly renovated heritage apartment
Cohens on the Park features quality modern finishings including Miele appliances, Bose surround sound stereo system, 78cm TV, WiFi, iPod dock, beautiful bathtub, blackbutt timber floors, cozy gas fireplace and a huge dining table made from one of the original warehouse doors. In the main bedroom there is an en-suite, and in the kitchen there is a generous walk-in pantry.
CONFIGURATION: Cohens can sleep a total of six people. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed and ensuite, the second bedroom has a queen and the third has 2 x twin beds.
Though right in the city, it's a unique destination for space, peace and privacy.
Cohens on the Park is located in Newcastle's Cohen Bond Store. The warehouse has been many things, including a shipping storage area and a spice factory. The heritage character of the 1800s building has been maintained with spectacular original brick arches and timber columns and ceilings throughout the inside.
Peace and play... right on the park
Cohens on the Park directly faces the Foreshore Park, so it's great for families as there's plenty of space for the kids to play. It also makes excellent executive accommodation for adults seeking peaceful grassy surrounds and a salty breeze. There are plenty of walking and bikes trails throughout the park. If you want a longer ride or walk, try the Foreshore Promenade, which moves from Newcastle Beach, past the Ocean Baths, Nobby's Beach, out onto the Breakwater, down past all the harbour restaurants without you ever having to touch the road
On-street parking is available at an additional cost, as per the parking meter tariff's are subject to change. Please note it's a 50m walk from the street to your unit and there is a flight of stairs on the way, so Cohens is better suited to those with good mobility. The unit itself is all ground level though.
Cohens on the Park is a relaxing place to stay. While only a few minutes from the bustle of restaurants, cafes and Hunter Street Mall, you'll wake to birds tweeting in the park. It's also beautiful hearing the sound of ships in the night. Cohens is also a stroll away from Sandhills Community Garden which welcomes visitors.
