Darby Street is a unique shopping precinct within the Newcastle CBD. So why is it so unique? It is a true Village atmosphere with Owner Operated businesses bursting with product knowledge and motivation to please the consumer. You will need to stroll down Darby Street and explore some of its Side Streets and Alleys to get a feel of the ‘human’ aesthetic in this manageable Village. Village commercial centres are becoming a rare breed in today’s global economy. We usually have to travel to an Italian country town, or a French hamlet to get a similar vibe. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good access to a smart apartment We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights. We found access for our son who is in a wheelchair to be really good. We had enough room to invite two friends over for dinner. The beds were very comfortable and because the apartment is so new and modern the stay was very enjoyable. Being 5 minutes walk from cafes and shops was a bonus.

Kevin the Owner was excellent to deal with very helpful, and made sure we knew everything we needed to about the place and surrounds. I would thoroughly recommend staying in this beautiful place.
