Redhead Beach is a hidden gem situated about 15 mins south of Newcastle within the Lake Macquarie Council area. The Beach is at the northern end of Nine 9 mile beach and patrolled from end of September to end of April each year. There is a large children friendly park adjacent to the beach Webb Park and 4WD beach access nearby at Jewells Crossing.
Redhead area is well serviced with popular restaurants/cafes, newsagents, chemist, bakery and Bowling Club. The Redhead Surf Club is open for drinks Friday and Sunday afternoons. Popular Fernleigh Track for cycling/walking/running passes through the suburb of Redhead.
