In summer: Enjoy privacy, amazing entertaining areas with water and escarpment views, and two renowned beaches within a few minutes’ walk. Go left and you will find yourself at Austi beach previously voted best beach in NSW. Go right, and 3 minutes later you will be on Thirroul beach...in either direction you can amble along the beach fronts for miles, exploring beaches and small coastal villages as you go.

In winter: Enjoy cosy spots designed for spectacular weather watching In addition to two luxury spa baths, and an open fire. We still have spectacular blue sky days in winter, which are great for an early morning beach walk. On the not so nice days which can happen on holidays Stay in bed, watch the show that only mother nature provides, drink hot chocolate, and read your favourite book - or start to write the one you've always dreamed of doing

Built within the last 5 years this house affords sweeping and uninterrupted views of the coast and beyond. Surfers will revel in being able to check some of the best surf breaks on offer before they even get out of bed in the morning.

At the end of the day, sip on some fine champagne or a cold beer as you watch the sunset over the escarpment, and all the wonderful colours that come with it.

IN SUMMARY

It features 4 bedrooms; 3 bathrooms; 2 inside living areas; spacious gourmet kitchen with stone bench tops; large dining area and 2 outside entertaining areas. There are hardwood floors throughout, with plush carpet in the bedrooms and upstairs living.

IN DETAIL

Ist Level: The house is open plan and flows easily from the back covered entertaining area, through the expansive dining and kitchen area, down into the lounge and out onto the large covered balcony area.

The downstairs lounge has a large flat screen TV with blue-ray/DVD player. A large selection of DVDs and books are also provided.

Wifi is available throughout the house.

There is a large wood fireplace in the lounge, and wood is provided throughout the winter months. A gas heater is also available for use.

The kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a large Fisher and Paykel Fridge, Bosch dishwasher, 5 burner gas stove, microwave oven and coffee machine. There is a large island bench as well as dining table with setting for 8 people. From the Island bench, you can look through the cathedral ceiling in the lounge area, and out to the beach.

The Master bedroom has a King size bed, luxury en-suite with spa bath and shower, and private access to the balcony.

The two front bedrooms take in commanding water views, and the two back bedrooms also offer large windows that allow for restful garden views and tree top views.

A desk is provided for work or study of required, and a printer is available. There is also a large laundry with washing machine, clothes dryer and ironing facilities on the first level.

2nd Level: Up the stairs you will find a fabulous cosy little nook where you are surrounded by glass. Affectionately known as the ‘Storm Room’, it is also a fabulous spot for an early morning meditation.

The upstairs area boasts a second large living area with Juliette Balcony; the third and fourth bedrooms; and a large, luxurious bathroom, which offers a double shower and extra-large spa bath with additional champagne jets, for your bathing pleasure.

Two covered outdoor entertaining areas are provided with BBQ facilities, and the front Balcony also has a heater so that you can continue to enjoy outdoor dining even as the nights are cooling.

The Area

Thirroul is accessed by a major train line, and is one hour south of Sydney airport 60 klms, and just over 1 hour by train from the city Central. If you would like to drive, head south and if you have time, explore the Royal National Park, or turn left off the free-way and meander down via Stanwell Park. You may be able to see hang gliders taking off from Bald Hill, and the magnificent coastal drive will take in the new Sea Cliff Bridge and all the coastal villages of the northern Illawarra.

Bombora Beach house is set between the patrolled beaches of Austinmer and Thirroul Village, and both beaches are located just a short stroll in either direction, and found almost at the end of the street. Both villages are known for their café culture, home ware stores and individual sense of retail fashion.

Thirroul is also home to Anita’s Theatre and an array of restaurants that cater for every requirement, everything from ‘pub-grub’ to fabulous French Cuisine which can be experienced at the wonderful Samuel’s Restaurant.

Other attractions include:

Surfing - surfers will know of Sandon Point, MacCauley's, Peggy's and Tommo's

Swimming – patrolled beaches nearby, and Olympic size pools at Thirroul Beach and Astinmer.

Beach walking

Bush-walking, including the Royal National Park and nearby escarpment walks such as the Sublime Point Walk, Gibson and Waddi Waddi track.

Cycling – numerous cycle tracks are available – a popular one will take you from Thirroul to Wollongong along the beach

Cafe culture with up 20 cafes in close proximity, some right on the water
