This stunning property is located on one of the south coasts most sought after suburbs and offers the best of the coast. Superbly located a mere 6 minute walk from the beach or a 9 minute walk to the shops and cafes of Austinmer.  A generous home spread over two levels – the family can spread out with four bedrooms, three lounge rooms, two kitchens, two dining areas, several outdoor spaces and three bathrooms.

Mountain Road is a highly sought-after street with locals and visitors alike, lined with a mix of colonial cottages, architectural wonders and palatial family homes.  It enjoys the presence of the escarpment as a backdrop and the close proximity of the beach and yet is peacefully tucked away from the hustle and bustle.


Beach access is matter of enjoying a flat walk down the road and along Henley Road or via Mountain Road walking up the hill and crossing over Lawrence Hargrave Drive.  Either way you are there with your feet wet in about 6 minutes.


Be sure to stop in at Bread and Espresso who offer amazing coffee and sinful pastries and burn off the calories by heading to the art deco ocean pool at Thirroul for some laps. 


For a small but lovely sample of cafes, restaurants and shops Moore Street in Austinmer is a must but if you want to be browsing and busy all day then head to Thirroul.

For nature lovers head to Asquith Street to take on the Sublime Point track it is a tough walk only 700m but at a grade 4 (there are only 5 grades). However, fear not calories can be deliciously replenished at the café at the top.

The house features 3 bathrooms. 2 downstairs - one with a combined bath and shower, toilet and vanity - the other has a shower, vanity and toilet.  Upstairs the bathroom is conveniently spilt into three sections so the vanity, toilet and bath/shower are easily accessible.


With three comfortable and well-appointed lounge rooms you are spoilt for choice.  Downstairs enjoy a Highlands moment in the lushly decked out Billiard room complete with antique table.  At the back of the lower level is an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge which leads out to the back garden. The lounge features a TV, DVD and stereo.


Upstairs you are greeted by a large, airy and bright open plan living area with a combined kitchen, dining and lounge which opens onto the top deck which is an outdoor room.  The lounge has a TV, DVD and stereo.  There is a desk for those that must bring work with them or consider uploading to Facebook essential work.  The classic white square dining table provides a beautiful setting for dinners that linger into the night.


The downstairs kitchen is both compact and comfortable with a proper stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and blender.

While upstairs provides a gourmet cook’s kitchen with four burner gas stove, electric oven with separate grill, large fridge, separate pantry and plenty of bench space. There is even a TV in the kitchen so you can follow Jamie Oliver as he prepares a feast.



There are three decks in the property so all ages and tastes are catered for.  The jewel in the crown is the front upper deck – with views from every angle enticing you to idle away your days. Take in the vista, indulge in alfresco dining and soak up the sun and sea air.  For those that like to take in the streetscape with a cuppa and a good book the lower level front deck is a sun drenched wonder.  If privacy and absolute quiet are called for then the back garden with its charming plantings and shade offer a reprieve from the world.  The upstairs back deck provides a birds-eye view of the kids in the garden with enough distance and you will still feel like you are taking it easy.

There will be three rooms locked off - a study, master bedroom and part of the garage. 

We recommend that you drive onto Lawrence Hargrave Drive from Henley Road rather than from Mountain Road as visibility of oncoming traffic is limited. There is a staircase between the levels which will require supervision of young children at all times.
