Private and peaceful, this beautiful beach house is situated on the most breathtaking stretch of the Grand Pacific drive.
Fully renovated, this 'Hamptons' styled weatherboard cottage is nestled between the backdrop of the escarpment, and golden sands of Scarborough beach. Late checkout is often available so you can make the most of your weekend.
Boasting an enormous 100sqm deck and bi-fold doors opening out to the ocean view, most of your time here will be spent al fresco. Set up for outdoor living it is tempting not to leave the house - though its only a short 2 min walk down to Scarborough beach should surf watching prove irrisistable. 2 mins in the other direction is Wombarra ocean pool. As the house is on the ocean side of the street, both the pool and the beach are a safe walk from the house with no roads to cross.
All three bedrooms have built in mirrored wardrobes, wooden floors, ceiling fans and plantation shutters. It's difficult to choose which bedroom to have as they are equally inviting - the main has an ensuite and is bathed in afternoon sun, while sunrise pours into the other two bedrooms which both boast ocean views and share a large bathroom.
There is a separate laundry with a third toilet on the deck.
Small quality touches are designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible - a Nespresso coffee machine, hairdryer and straighteners, soft duck down feather duvets and pillows, replaced regularly. The stylish decor showcases original artworks from three local artists.
A short walk up the street is the Scarborough pub with its massive beer garden perched on the clifftop. It is a popular tourist destination at weekends for breakfast and lunch. The sleepy beachside villages of Stanwell Park, Austinmer and Thirroul are only a short drive along a stunning cliff road.
Trains run direct from Town Hall & Central station to Wombarra station which only 260m away.
Surfing, hang gliding, horse riding, golfing and cycle tracks are all nearby should you tire of beach hopping.
There are many ocean pools nearby and a free outdoor olympic pool at Thirroul with separate toddlers pool. For the children there are two playgrounds within walking distance, boogie boards, beach toys, board games, children's books and disney DVDs. A Porta-cot can be arranged on request at no extra cost.
All local beaches including Scarborough are surf patrolled Sept - May.
