Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing There's a few things we would like to bring to your attention, and in fact to Stayz. We will also email Stayz, because in fact when we arrived a few things didn't meet with their criteria ( the rules in their book). Firstly, given the owner was adamant they would not offer a reduction in rent for the 3 nights, of the day of checkin, even though they had no other booking, we were quite surprised by many things in the apartment. Our expectation was sadly smashed as what to expect . Although in a beautiful location, and quite well appointed fixtures, there are many things lacking for such a hefty nightly tariff. We say this on two levels. The first, we are owners of a few rental properties on Stayz. One, a 4 bedroom house in Ascot Avenue Avoca Beach NSW- and the second being a penthouse at Belongil Beach, Byron Bay. Neither of the winter tariffs are as high as this apartment. Second level, our daughter has been in property management previously, and fully aware of expectations in the industry. We will list below the issues that attract comment, hopefully constructive for the owners. * both the beds are sub standard in queen room - The mattresses are of low quality and pillows the same. No one had a decent nights sleep * towels sub standard * the lounge on the balcony is a disgrace - shredded and ripped * the windows onto the balcony streaky with soap and cleaning product * bucket and mop leaning on the wall in the entry foyer * limited items in pantry ie no paper towel, foil, Salt and most importantly no milk for tea after late night arrival. But other reasonably useless items - most likely should be in lockup cupboard. Stale biscuits, out of date food. Food left in the freezer. These factors against Stayz rules. * can opener useless * oven dirty * balcony glass covered with salt mist * garage full of personal items, not useful for most tenants * clothes damp from dryer after cycle, and because in another language difficult to alter settings. * greasy noisy rangehood * BBQ Tongs- miniature ones ( useless ) or broken extra long ones * outdoor dinning setting - all cracked and breaking on the sides. Chairs with paint peeling and old - need replacement. * bathroom in corners dirty with hair, dirt and dust. * toilet brushes need to be replaced, as do soap dispensers with rust all round the rims * paint deeply scratched at front door and peeling paint on the actual door. we've never complained anywhere we've stayed, ever. However the tariff is so high, and for this money you certainly do not expect ANY of the above. For the top end price per night- IN WINTER, and you expect a top class, clean apartment As I mentioned at the outset, the actual apartment is in a fantastic spot, and well appointed, unfortunately that is not enough these days in travel accomodation to command high tariffs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Position, Great Views This was our second stay at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay again. Theone@Rockpools is in an excellent position, close to shops, restaurants etc. and right on the beach with magnificent ocean views. We got to see the whales pass and a pod of dolphins whilst sitting on the balcony eating breakfast. We will definitely be back for the third time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Booked property for a girls weekend away. Fantastic location right on the beach, comfortably accommodated 6 guests. Apartment is spacious with nice furniture, two bathrooms and three toilets (very handy for a group), and balcony offers wonderful views of the ocean. Would definitley stay again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a perfect gettaway. We were 3 couples wanting something quiet and relaxing and watch the world go by. Perfect for out yearly get together. Out of all the properties we have stayed over the years, this is one of the few that has direct access to the beach. NO ROAD BETWEEN YOU AND THE BEACH. From our living room we actually saw whales and you wont believe this, even saw dophins surfing. Just amazing. Level walk in to the village just mins away, perfect for us oldies. Our partners played golf while we enjoyed the cafes and trying out the day spas. As you can see WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. FROM THE STUBBS GROUP
